I hung my gasket in full sun from a square backed patio chair to remove shipping bends and then laid it on top of a patio table in full sun. Old gasket peeled right out and the new one pressed right into place. Perfect fit and seal. No heat gun needed. Thanks for the video...very helpful.

Great video . . . but if you soak the gasket in hot water in your tub, then water seeps into the gasket itself and you'll have to squeeze it out somehow . . . maybe better to use a hair dryer instead.

After I put the new gasket in, the doors don't seem like they want to self-close tightly. Any suggestions?
Does the gasket come with a tear? Since there’s an open gap in the middle of the fridge?
What is the model number of your fridge? Is it the left gasket that you are are looking for?
I was fearful of using a heat gun (ask me why 😂) so I used a blow dryer on high. You could see them flatten out and had few worries about damaging the gaskets.
What if I dont have a heat gun?
use the Sun, if you got one.
Use a hair blow dryer. Keep it moving, and do NOT touch the gasket.
