I love PTV. I know there's some people who dont simply for the aesthetic and his voice. But the guitars, drumming, bass. Basically the instruments and structure of the songs are always top notch. Its overlooked by vics voice a lot of time.

These guys have some really twisted songs. One that kind of blows my mind with the subject matter is "One Hundred Sleepless Nights". I love the sound of the song, but when you actually listen to the lyrics, it's creepy as heck!!
Their lyrics have always been super odd since the ‘a flair for the dramatic, days. Whatever they’re doing it’s been working really well

@@CycleOfJudges It's creepy, but I still love them and other bands from the genre. Not ALL of their stuff is dark and twisty..
Vic wrote this album while in a really healthy and loving relationship (just got married a week or so ago) and took years to write this album, misadventures because of their massive success with Collide with the sky which came out 4 years before the newest album which was in 2016. It shows to me how much time he put into it. I’m sure we will be getting another album soon, hopefully.
And lyrically they're different. Aren't always simple "pooh love hurts." "I love you so much"
A lot of the lyrics are dark. And I love it.
I'm 32 and I got into PTV when I was 20 and they are still to this day in my top 5 favorite bands. I have a lot of nostalgia with their older stuff but I couldn't tell you my favorite album. Collide with the Sky is such a solid album and Misadventures is as well. These dudes really haven't put out a bad track.

Dive In is definitely the “growth” song. The nostalgia factor is 100%, for me, I’m only nearly 19 lol but have listened to them for nearly 10 years now and PTV for me is the sound of summer and nostalgia so I agree w you! And yes, keys are a fabulous addition (can’t believe people dare to call em sellouts for it). If you choose any other song, a “breakdown” that’ll TRULY blow your mind is the bridge of Bulls In The Bronx. You’ll never expect it!
Ptv has been my favorite band for awhile now idk its jus something in their music that makes me really happy i know almost all of their songs by heart, i cant wait for their new album they’re working on to release! You should react to hell above!

This is one of the best songs on this album. I do prefer the guitar tones in Collide With the Sky and Selfish Machines, though.

I like the songs of theirs that you’ve covered so far but imo Pierce the Veil have much better stuff in their catalogue that you might enjoy more. I’d love to see y’all react to some of their other songs like Besitos, I Don’t Care if You’re Contagious, or maybe Today I Saw the Whole World, Floral & Fading for some newer stuff. That is if you guys are up to it
It’s so wild to me that someone could say that about this song!! It’s gotta be one of the most beautiful journeys I’ve experienced in a song, only rivaled by Deftones. But that’s the awesome thing about music, we all have such different tastes and appreciations for different things :)
Besitos or Sky Under The Sea from the same album as Caraphernelia are good ones to check out, I think they're better examples of PTV as a whole
As far as I recall, Mike (the drummer) who is the vocalists brother stepped away from the band in 2017 amid allegations of sexual involvement with at least 2 underage girls if memory serves correctly. Another black mark on the scene unfortunately

Did they get a replacement drummer? Or is Mike being allowed to tour with them again?
@@KeleeS1275 honestly I looked and most articles are all from 2017. I didn’t really see any kind of update on the situation, so maybe they just kind of went on hiatus until the situation is finally resolved resulting in them not dropping an album since 2016
@@KeleeS1275 I’m pretty sure in their statement they said they wouldn’t be bringing Mike along for future performances and tours, but they did have him for a zoom cover of a song for charity in lockdown or someth though
