James Davis reminds me so much of Jesse Bowman. Built just like him moves around like him and plays with his hat before taking a shot as part of his preshot routine just like him.Eerily similar
As for Junior only being able to play on a bar box -- the last time I played him was in a 10-ball ring game on a gold crown 9 footer. He put a 3-pack on us, on a 9 foot, in 10-ball. That's pretty strong for an 'amateur'.
This match had at least 2 Geese on the line with a chance for the BIG money. 1st was over 23 Geese. That's the most nervous I have ever seen him. I think he handled it pretty well. FTR Shane also was also very careful and slow on many shots. .
i dont mean to be so offtopic but does someone know a method to log back into an Instagram account..? I somehow forgot the account password. I would love any tricks you can offer me!
lol, right.. Actually, most people would describe Jr as ADD, or ADHD, which he's not, but he usually plays fast.. It's something he and I have discussed, and he has worked on, which kinda makes me smile that you complained about him playing slow.. He played amazingly in that tournament, blanking at least 3 opponents..
@choward874 ok. But you said he got lucky a couple of times. I saw well thought out runs; albeit longer to start runs than expected. So, I was asking specifically, where did he get luck?
pretty much in his prime.. he'd already won 2 US open 9 ball tourneys... he 3 peat 12,13 and 14. Pretty much one of the world's best players at that point.
Don't get me wrong he seems to play very well and i can't blame a guy for having a little nerves when playing SVB. I'm sure he's faster when playing mortals...lol
Well lemme tell u if i bet on for example table tennis and win 1000 ill be fired up...hell if i won money watching two girls playing hop scotch id be fired up...so hopefully that gives u better prespective

James Davis is a great player. Sure love watching this match over and over
have to admit I never thought Davis would pull it off but he played fantastically well. To beat SVB is a great experience for anyone at any game.
alternate break played a role too though, let's be honest here without that format nobody here would have stood a chance
@@hammerlane3871 Plus, what nobody has posted.....Shane won the one loss side and came back and beat Davis twice to win the tournament.
Super quality play match. Thank You.
even we don't care too much barbox Pool here in Europe.
What about English 8ball........7 foot table too
Great match

Thanks for the upload!!
I don't understand how people said Junior was slow, shane took 5 minutes to shoot a shot on three different occasions.
Yo Jr you put the smack down on SVB there..Id be star struck. Great playing.
why all the hating on davis jr? he played stone henge solid that set. props to him
I like how Big Truck said if gas is over $2 a gallon it's expensive.... now we wish it was $2 a gallon!!!
It's only 3 bucks n change now where I live after all these years.. .quit whinning 🙄🤦♂️
Awesome! Thanks
Coffee. Look @ 27:20 you will see Chris Miller bring me another cup of Java...the owner and promoter of White Diamonds.

@Caspian Gus Instablaster ;)
What kind of tournament makes the shooters pay for the table...😂

Nice job James
Does James Davis jr still play?
Not as much as he used to. He's a single dad so his kid is his priority.
nobody is unbeatable and everyone has a off night sometimes and at this level you cant afford mistakes bc it will cost you the match
James shot well but man he got lucky a couple of times.
Where? He played lights out
@robertvasquez1845 everyone with some talent has their day. But Shane would smoke James in the long run. But yes James played amazing here.
@choward874 ok. But you said he got lucky a couple of times. I saw well thought out runs; albeit longer to start runs than expected. So, I was asking specifically, where did he get luck?
What are those!!!!
Junior can play solid AF!
I've watched this video 3 times. Lol
is this an 8-ft table?
are tournaments allowed on these tables?
it's a 7 footer, bar table.. took 7 years to get an answer.. lol
Good job Pool Stat Guy😆🤣😂🤣
Who won this tournament?
svb..i saw in comments svb came back and beat james twice to win tourney
In some ways playing on a 9 foot table can be easier than a 7 foot, more room to run the cueball for example.
This theory works in case of 8 ball, but in case of 9 ball. 9 ball is much easier on a 7 ft table.
glad to see my brother win and playing good pool..he could run a rack on ANY table
Is this Shane in his prime already here or is this the young Shane?
pretty much in his prime.. he'd already won 2 US open 9 ball tourneys... he 3 peat 12,13 and 14. Pretty much one of the world's best players at that point.
I definitely thought Shane made the right call when he passed that pushout back to JDJ, but he was unfortunate that JDJ left the two where he did.
whatever jr was drinking made him play dam skippy. TX
Thank god for the shotclock. That’s all I gotta say. Man this match was painful.
He will play you some. Will you be at Derby City?
You know Shane is just getting off that us open and taking it easy.
Jr is a champion....much respect..
***** Junior shooting a 6 pack on a 9 footer in the Texas open.
9b James Davis Jr vs Ernesto Bayaua 2013 Texas Open
That was an 8 pack.
PoolActionTV Bigtruck
Maybe he just won the last 2 games.
pattern racking
SVB is Macklemore!
LOL.. 1st time Jr has ever been accused of being slow.. I actually like his tempo, here, but he probably ended up drinking too much coffee..
over 5 minutes to shoot. Where's the timer?
+johnny t You clearly don't have one. What time mark was a 5 minute shot?
4 1/2 minutes on one shot but you are allowed extra time after the break
@@PoolActionTV 52:20 that for a push

thr alternate break is really what saves these players from getting killed, without it he would be 7 zip
James broke first in this match and ran out. And actually, he was out in each of his first 3 breaks. So no, he wouldn't have lost 7-0, haha.
All of the guys trashing Davis in the comments should post their videos where they beat SVB
yeah but he probably wouldn't do it again jdj got a couple of rolls he played great though.
peter rabbit doesnt matter svb is arguably the best ever .. davis wouldnt stand a chance in a long race winner break formula. svb is a animal
..secret to sir gray ball cap...stay hydrated...sheesh
Just seems weird to see Shane playing on a 7 foot bar pay table.
coffee or ice?
Not that he didn't play perfect here, cause he did..
this aint griffs is it lol
Pushing quarters, haha
He taking long
1 of these players needs a shot clock :P, for a guy who gulps coffee after every shot he sure is slow.
Bet junior won't gamble shane though
Would you gamble with Shane?
Shane takes too long to shoot
How can someone get so fired up winning playing a little girls game
Well lemme tell u if i bet on for example table tennis and win 1000 ill be fired up...hell if i won money watching two girls playing hop scotch id be fired up...so hopefully that gives u better prespective
guy couldn't run a single rack on a 9 foot.
