Cool thing about a 7-8 string is you can tune E standard EADGBE on six strings and its basically a 6 string with extra's for when you want to go heavy AF, Learn with what you want
Many time I do little jam session with friend (just playing covers for fun) and I take 7 string just because I have more tuning just with 1 extra string
@@wentworthmiller1890 and I don't understand question 😉so please be more specific. Maybe I can help. You want to write drum parts for guitar and don't have any ideas how to do it or you don't even know software do start?
@@30_second_guitar I think he means that these riffs only sound as good as they do because of the drums behind them. Some riffs obviously sound amazing just on their own with no other instrumentation, but the really simplistic ones start to get boring without the drums thundering away behind them.
@@30_second_guitar REAL. I began on a 6 for literally a few weeks, and got an Ibanez 7 string straight away. Definitely challenging but possible. 8 strings felt MUCH harder, but 7 was a decent middle ground. It's like "hard mode" learning with a 7, even though learning is fairly difficult already, but it's invaluable to be able to play all the stuff you listen to and enjoy doing it. Beginners should learn on a 6, though, I do a bit of 6 string stuff now, but I'd never give up the 7 for anything just because of how fun it is.
yooo same guitar! Got a question, how does it handle those super low tunings like F? 25.5 scale seems like not too much for a 7 string, especially downtuned. Great playing btw 🤘
Yes, but you can play whole song in Drop D. For Example when Matt Heafy from Trivium play with Sepultura he play in Drop D And years ago when i learn to play this i learn in drop D But yep orginal is played in Standard D
10 years ago, yes. Right know, You be suprise. I make this video just for fun (and little clikbait tbh :) ) but i was ask to teach couple people (adults) who wants to start right away with 7 string and even one person with 8. Then i go to reddit and fb group and find out that its not that uncommon that people wants to start from 7 string. Just like with evrythink. I would advice to start on 6 string but who i am to say people to dont start on 9 string if they want to. Maybe becous of that they become better guitar players and rest of us ;) I know TLTR ;)
Haha, anyone else super triggered when seeing the tuning written as F A# D# G# C# F A# ? Man, it hurts me just to write it. Cool video though, keep it up.
In one hand its simple in other playing all bands souding good its not so easy task and if i am correct oryginal its record in some wierd tuning (quarter step down)
Yeah i know ;) There was already comment about that. But you can also play this ind Drop D. You can even watch when they play with Heafy he play in Drop D tuning and Andreas in Standard D
I think you mistaking Metal Elitist with metalhead ;) but overall i agree with 1 think. People dont care if you play on 1 string or 10 string guitar. People just want to hear good music
>even beginners can learn
>uses a seven string
if you are a beginner and a 7 string appeals to you, it is for you
@@noirelectrique8782absolutely not, you need to learn the basics first before you get specialized with it
ask your big brother if you can use his 7
he didn't poor people can play them, he said beginners
@@Nerfzisback beginners learn on a six string my dude
Holy the ending totally blue balled me, I thought he was gonna go into the next verse of Rip and Tear. Sound is awesome though
Sorry to dissapoint you 😉 maybe next time I record longer part
animals is actually played in C# standard, but I learned it in drop C # too haha. Well done!
This one i didint know. I learn from ear
Actually to my knowledge it's in Drop B but the low B isn't utilized in the main riff.
yep the band themselves confirmed it. also easier to do bends@@harlstrum
I learned it n Drop B, but played in B standard.
Correction animals is using drop B tuning with a octave pedal

Architects mentioned💯💯
That Ibanez 7 string looks really nice to play :)
With proper setup plays good but could be better. Still is budget guitar just check if i like 7 string stuff :D
Well produced video, man!! Nice!!
thanks
I like all of those songs! Some I didn't knew before, so I highly appreciate that! Will put on some bängerz on high volume now! \../,
if someone told me in 2017 that i will find an architects riff in an easy to learn video i would have laughed at them
The tiny thumbnail brought me here expecting riffs from Doom's War Crimes. Alas...
these songs and everything pantera has done is a good start
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Doom Slayer, omg, i love it))))))) Спасибо)
The only hard part about covering architects is finding a guitar which's tuning you can butcher.
Actually, slave new world is in d standard, but drop d works too.
excellent thumbnail
Thanks
🤘🏿
anything by MORTICIAN!!!
because a beginner is gonna start with a 7-String
if you ask me they shouldn't but there is many new guitarist that start on 7 string or want to play drop C right away

not brutal riffs at all. If that's the case then playing open bottom string will be brutal too
except the doom one and a beginner couldn't learn that
