Mind pulp, since you are asking, I will answer as much as I can. Here is the note for the nerd and those who are curious. At the start, you’re playing as the Deathwatch, which consists of Space Marines picked from various chapters to hunt xenos AKA any alien life form that humanity finds inconvenient. The chains on their arms have different meanings depending on the chapter because, naturally, every Space Marine chapter has its own set of cultural quirks. For the Deathwatch, the chain symbolizes unity and strength since they bring together various chapters under one banner and uniform(or armor for this case) But for other chapters, it might symbolize dishonor because, of course, everyone has their own dramatic traditions. The red stamped paper in Titus hand is a purity seal. It’s essentially a charm filled with prayers and victory promises because who doesn’t need a little magical thinking in their grimdark life. Now, Primaris Marines are a different breed from your standard Space Marines. They’re made from a more stable geneseed. If you’re familiar with the Imperium, geneseed is crucial for creating Space Marines, and each chapter has its own special brand that are milked directly from their father. Unfortunately, many of these geneseeds are flawed, leading to the various quirks of chapters like the Salamanders jade black skin and Blood Angels red thirst. Then, enter Primarch Guilliman, who introduced Primaris Marines, a supposedly perfected version of Space Marines with a more reliable gene-seed. Of course, not all chapters are thrilled about them, but that’s a story for another time. Do some digging if you’re curious Because this paragraph already long as it is and I don’t want it to be more longer that it already is. Since you both seem to know what Tyranids are, I won’t bore you with the details. Mechanicus, on the other hand, they speak in binary because they’re essentially technology worshippers who take the whole “worshipping tech” thing to a grimdark extreme, remember those cultists who see Steve Jobs as a deity couple while back, that’s the Mechanicus for you just more grim dark. The creepy flying baby things you see are called cherubs. They’re homunculi, which means they’re artificial life forms made to help with mundane tasks within the Imperium work force. They might look like babies, but they’re not, even papa blueberry smurf with eldar fetish AKA Robute Guilliman himself finds them unsettling. Finally, the Astra Militarum consists of many brave souls known as Guardsmen. They’re really brave because they’re fully aware they’re just expendable tools for the Imperium. They’ll charge headlong into battle with their bayonets fixed, believing in the Emperor’s protection and their own inevitable, honorable deaths. Don’t worry too much about their massive casualties, the Imperium has millions of worlds with billions of people, so a few million dead Guardsmen are just a drop in the bucket. That all i can say to my fellow nerd, if you guys have something to add, please feel free to correct me.

its very impressive that the game looks so good, has so many enemies on screen and all the blood, guts and parts flying everywhere and the framerate stays so consistent
Yeah they did a really good job with this game, it shows hundreds of enemies charging at you but in reality you're only fighting like 30 or 40 grunts and a few heavies, the aesthetic is awesome my only con is the campaign could've been a little longer. And the PVE matchmaking doesn't work a lot of the time I can only access the campaign and PvP eternal war modes.
I think it's cause Titus interacted with a chaos artifact and survived for some reason. They called him a heretic and sentenced him to the Death Watch as punishment Edit, I've been informed I'm incorrect. Lol it's been a long time since I played the first game. My bad!
@@jamesfairchild9374 Incorrect; one of Titus' old squadmates called the inquisition on him due to the mistaken belief that Titus must be a heretic due to his ability to resist the warp. Despite the fact that the Inquisitor found no corruption, the Ultramarines didn't send for him after he was released. This lead him to believe he disgraced his chapter and they were basically dis-owning him. As is customary for Space Marines that feel they don't deserve to be a part of their chapter, he scrubbed off his markings and petitioned the Deathwatch to allow him to become a Black Shield in the hopes of continuing to do his duty and to wipe away his shame. Regular marines that join the Deathwatch are usually sent there on their secondus (serving a different chapter than your own for a time) and it is considered a massive honour. This is why Titus being a Black Shield was scrubbed from the records while he was still allowed to show he served in the Deathwatch.
