  • Finally! I finished this video on 7th June 2020, but life events unfortunately got in the way and I never got around to post it. Totally forgot I even finished this video until I went to check it after making the diy card videos. xD
    This technique was inspired by the MISTI stamp positioner.
    I made this stamp positioner in under $20SGD, but it really depends on where you're able to get your materials from. I managed to find a suitable wooden box, magnetic sheet and a shop that customises PVC sheet sizes on Taobao (Chinese shopping site), so I got to buy my supplies fairly cheaply!
    ----
    Materials used:
    - One side of a flat wooden box (32.5cm*23.5cm*2cm)
    - Hinges from the same wooden box
    - 3MM thick transparent PVC sheet (32.5cm*23.5cm)
    - Super glue
    - 2MM thick super strength magnetic sheet
    - A4 foam craft sheets
    - Flat round magnets

    Yours is the best one I seen so far. No one thinks on using a magnetic sheet and small magnets to hold paper down. TYFS

      Awesome idea! The beauty of this is we can all use household materials that we can find that do the job and not overspend on branded gadgets 😁

      +on the tools i think is way too much Since it's pandemic and out of job now. Need to make use of what we already have

      You can view a TH-cam clip making one with a double hinged IKEA picture frame. It does work .

    I had no luck sourcing even a box for less than $20. If anyone finds one, please share where you got it. Thanks!

      Hi! You could try your luck with Aliexpress, they have a wide selection of wooden boxes to choose from 😁 If you can't find flat boxes, you can use the lid of a wooden box, that's what I did for mine!

    If I don't have transparent pvc, can I replace it with mica?

    • @themellieway
      @themellieway  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, sure! It just needs to be flat and durable, it doesn’t have to be transparent either if you don’t have anything like that suitable

    • @moingaycungve1070
      @moingaycungve1070 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@themellieway Sister, if the mica is two millimeters thick, can it be used, because in the video the pvc piece is three millimeters thick?

    • @themellieway
      @themellieway  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@moingaycungve1070 Yeah, 2mm would be thick enough too :) I made one using a regular CD case and that's about 1-1.5mm thick. You just need to take care when stamping because I cracked my CD case after using too much force 😂 It still works, it's just not as pretty
