- As promised we have a little video from the Hartwell Imp that was with us a few weeks ago at Castle Combe. Looks like a fun car to drive. This was a session with a drying line on Slicks but starting to rain again.

Wonderful clip. Thanks for posting! My dad bought a green Super Imp in 1966 and eventually passed it on to me when l passed my test in 1976. I went on to have 5 of them. Great little cars!
Worked with Ray for 17 years at team Hartwell , wonderful times
Of course the car was white over orange which were team Hartwell colours
I notice the Porch (sic) can't seem to drop the (998cc?) Imp in the corners.
Fast car with a fast driver :)
@@slipgripautomotive5929 I know how fast a good Imp in the right hands is. I grew up watching Ian Forrest in the Drambuie Imp.
Total IMPnutter, me ;
I lived next door but one to Ray Payne so saw that car quite a bit as a kid. His sons were my age so we all knocked about together. Ray had an impressive collection of silverware in his front room, quiet guy, nice guy was my experience.
Tricky conditions, car looks great! Memory is going now but did I see this car from time to time in 'Triple C' back in the day?
Hi yes it was a tricky day for sure. It was raced a lot but there were a few cars in this colour i think.
@@slipgripautomotive5929 Ah OK many thanks. 👍
Triple C!! Now you're talking! Never missed an issue! 🏁🏁👍
Ray Payne built my race 998
Who owns this car ?
Sorry I can't remember off the top of my head.
