17:16 It's the description for Mega Man's High-Speed Charge adapter from the start menu. However, the game is breaking so much that it also displays during the Stage Clear screen when it clearly should not. What's even weirder is that the adapter wasn't even selected before leaving the start menu.
It happened the first time he used the escape unit, he just didn't notice till later. It's still weird that it even stayed bugged for so long, however.
17:16 Very roughly translated, “It’s okay if a single thorn hits you, this item will make it gone” (i.e. it makes the damage zero). 19:06 “Rock Buster will be able to charge in a short amount of time.”
@@SeansLipSyncingSock Thanks for that. Because it went by so fast, I didn’t even bother to check if the description was the same in both occurrences, and I only checked the second one.
@@Linker2A03 You’re welcome. TBH I paused the video and used Google Translate, typing out the first one (I’m still not sure how one of those words is read) and a photo of the second (the translated photo of the first looked iffy). The second translated very well, the first not as well! Even my Japanese-American grandparents would’ve been amused.
19:03 I think thats the text from an item that is falsely displayed. If I didn't misunderstand it, it says that it's shortening the charge time for the rockbuster. 29:12 The glitchy appearance is probably caused that due to an error the game tries to load the image data from the wrong address. What is then displayed is whatever is at that address. That could be an image that is usually displayed somwhere else or it could be some random data that is then displayed as an image.
For those unaware, in a normal playthrough, you need to use both Rock and Forte to collect all weapons because you need both Rush Search (exclusive to Rock) and Double Jump (exclusive to Forte) to access some. Rock is glitching to get all of them.
I've had a lot on my mind recently, and I was trying to sleep last night until I woke up at 3:33 a.m. in a Cold (Man) sweat to a horrifying thought: What would a Tool-Assisted Speedrun of Rockman & Forte's 100 CD category look like? I couldn't bear the thought, and I honestly thought I was going insane. That's why I'm so glad Mega Man Pro Tooterp is reviewing this TAS. I needed this.
The Japanese text on the Stage Clear screen is some of Auto’s descriptions of bought items. I saw one for spike protect and one for low-energy weapon charging, obviously glitched out as the text doesn’t belong in that screen I also noticed a glitch where Megaman apparently used Tengu Blade immediately followed by Burner Man’s weapon to create bouncing fire to ignite a dynamite block to get a CD in Astro Man’s stage
My head logic has always been Pirate Man is weak to Burner Man bc the flamethrower is spitting out gas underwater since it can’t ignite, and oil would beat water
The flamethrower is pushing out gas by which I mean pressurized air and not gasoline. This is why "waves" of water are being pushed when Mega Man uses it underwater. Those waves push Pirate Man's bombs back at him and burst his bubble "shield"
@@reijigamer I do mean gas as in a fossil-fuel, as in a flamethrower that operates by spitting a stream of propane. The waves would still be spitting out the propane, it just wouldn’t ignite. Ofc it’s Mega Man logic so who knows how it actually works, but Burner Man is definitely a propane or other fuel-based robot master
@@ArtUndertheArch my comment was meant to agree with yours. I was trying to clarify that my usage of "gas" was not for gasoline, the liquid fuel, but for pressurized gas like propane or natural gas.

Hey, question that may has already been asked a ton of times (sorry for that), have you ever considered talking about Mega Man Unlimited in your videos? Honestly it is probably the best MM fangame and without a doubt as good as the canon games, imo such a great game deserves to be highlighted at times.

my guess for the hover is that this game is state based (thus it has certain mechanics per state) and downwords gravity is not part of the walking state, it may take (atleast) 1 frame to fall and this is reset via turning (witch may be a nother state idk) thus never allowing a falling state and not allowing dowwards gravity. EDIT: i just relised megaman is SLIDING not turning. sliding would count as a second state due to changes in physics and such. so this is mostlikely what is happening
do you mean Bass collecting all CD's? That should normally be impossible as Bass doesn't get Rush Search or any similar item. A lot of CD's require Rush Search. Though it would be interesting to see the max amount Bass can get.

So I see. This is how you're gonna keep avoiding the _X-trilogy no dash challenge_ 🤔
So floating in mid-air has something to do with holding the opposite direction and alternating the dash/slide very fast, every frame it seems.

Mega Man 3/4/5/6 combined TAS may be my favorite TAS that doesnt involve arbitrary code execution and I hope you break it down

the thing I hate about Rush Search is if Rush gets hurt by enemies then his search is interrupted so Mega Man has to prevent enemy attacks
a lot of disks need Rush Search to get so a 100% disk run would be impossible with only Bass (Forte)
Why did TAS leave some discs down during the stages? Isn't collecting them all the entire point here? 🤔🤷
