Its get pretty busy down there by the look of it. I've not actually been down there as I fish mainly at Rakaia. I'll have to get down there for a fish. Thanks for the video
Bloody good fisherman. What awesome sport it is out there and trying out different techniques. Just looking to put some new braid on my reel. Had 20lb whiplash this season that I found did not handle the abrasion that well. Can you recommend brand/lb that you would go for? Cheers mate
Thanks for rhe comment mate. I run Shimano 30lb braid. The fishing stores can spool your reel from their bulk roll and that stuff is also pretty good. If you see some abrasion just test your line by putting it under tension to see if it will break. If in doubt just peel off the affected line till tou see no more fluffy braid. Cheers
@@canterburyfishingadventures Already dreaming about next season! Such great fun. I am online looking at buying lures. Been looking at few chinooks to try. What size (gms) do you reckon works well out there? Cheer mate
There was so many fish at the river mouths, you offered a snagged fish a a guy who had a rod, and he took it anyway. I don't know who's fishing ethics are worse. This is my opinion and I am sticking to it. Catch a fish in any part of their body and keep it or give it away, Juts Like SNAGGING.. Many Kiwi fisherman have no ethics in my opinion.

What is your favorite lures to use
Hey Oliver, I tend to go for a blue metal fish shaped lure, silver ticer or Chinook lures. Cheers

@@jaynz247 I would go for a 21gm Chinook. I have good success with a blue chinnok or a silver ticer in 21 or 28ms. Cheers
@@canterburyfishingadventures Legend! Thanks mate. Love your videos and look forward to seeing you out there again slaying the Kahawai!
