I've had mine for several weeks now, and completely agree with your rundown.... Great bag for tools on one side, and larger drills, drivers on the other, but difficult to access the bottom of the bag on the tool side.... My screwdrivers tend to fall out sometimes in the outside pockets - they could be deeper and wider as you mentioned.... I'd say it's an 8 out of 10 bag in my review. The lock in feature with the other packout units is very nice!
I share the exact same sentiment on this bag. Coupled with the small container attached to the bottom which I turned into a bit holder, is exactly what I want but you nailed the small changes it needs to be perfect. I can deal with most of it but the most frustrating thing is the pocketed main pouch. It's too tight with all the pockets in there to fit enough stuff and still be able to reach anything in the bottom. That's my biggest gripe with it.
Nice review and setup you have. Your recommendations are spot on. I'm waiting for changes on newer Milwaukee pack out bags & will definitely go with 15 inch. Thanks for posting 👍
I have 2 of the 10" totes. I think they are too small for general work. Okay for a small electrical setup or similar. The 15" is more practical. There are much better bags out there BUT they are not packout compatible by default so the Milwaukee totes have an advantage, if you are into the packout system. I am recently into the Toughbuilt belt system. Like it a lot. They have a couple of rolling totes with the clipping system builtin. For a small agile non-milwaukee packout set up I think the Toughbuilt system is the next best thing.
5:05 That slide-out shelf in the truck is sick, all your gear totally accessible like that? Love it. Is that shown at full extension in the clip? How much weight can it handle?
Nice review. I was really hoping to find a video that mentions how the packout boxes fit on the different sized totes and you answered that right at the end as I was losing hope after searching for a while. Thank you! Also is that a Magno Grip pouch back there? Think I got the same one lol
Awesome 😃 This is exactly what I was looking to see! I have an older commercial electric tote which doesn’t fully cut it for holding all my “tote” tools, so I think I’m gunna replace that w/ the 20” packout tote & then replace my bucket boss w/ this 15” tote. Sounds like a plan 😆 side note: I thought the 2 & 3 draw packout would be a tad larger. So many Milwaukee tools/bigger batteries don’t fit in them.. Tf?
This came up in my feed and I thought I would "give it a go"! You are ABSOLUTELY right about EVERYTHING!!! I bought one at a flea market in good shape. I found it does have short comings. It is however, the perfect drill bag. If you utilize it exclusively for drills, bits, extra screws and the like, you would be hard pressed to find a better drill solution. That's what I ultimately ended up using it for. Hopefully, Milwaukee saw this. Corrections made, hands down it would be the best bag out there. Thank you for the video.
Thanks Bob! Something tells me that someday Milwaukee will come out with improved Packout totes, can’t wait to see what the develop. Thanks for the comment 😎
Some great points! I've been pondering which tool box to spend my well earned cash on....this was on my list...but....all the points you made...would annoy me too...its like they design tool bags ....but never actually use them?...I have just adapted my own bag and used lots of plastic inserts....Will do an update after a week or so on how I get on...dont get me wrong this still looks a great bag...just for the money they want....it should be awesome 👌
Thanks for the "real" review. Love this kind of video, straight shooter no BS. I'd buy you a beer.. thanks !

I really hope they make just a few little changes too, and it’ll be perfect! Thanks for the comment my man

Yeah and $60 for the 16" toughbuilt @ Lowes is great deal

Haha just saw this on offer up and your video popped up! He's selling it slightly used for $40! Sounds like a steal for what I needed in a bag

Totally agree! For the price it should be awesome. Here’s to hoping the next version is! Thanks for the comment
It is almost too nice and shiny, my thought is something like that would have a tendency to walk the minute your eye is off of it.
They are $50 now. I'm thinking about grabbing one for my electrical bag.
Were they on a special buy of the day or something?
I agree 100%
I think the tilt out pocket for M12 batteries. Do they fit in there good?
That's exactly what those pockets are.for.I put n nothing but batteries in these pockets, and they have never even come close to faking out.
@ I got it and it’s perfect for those smaller batteries. Dead on. Thanks for the review.
Those side zipper pockets is where i keep 2 torpedo levels to stay protected from damage.
Good idea! Thanks for the comment
You had the same cons, as I did.
I've seen better setups using a milk crate that somebody got for free why would I buy this junk
Whatever works 😎
organizers are not useful. just throw all your tools in a rice bag.
