Chidi essentially becomes Eleanor in this scene. Love it. Also I find it thrilling that they all become more moral when they all realize there is no reward and they should do good while they can if they’re going to hell for eternity.
And I'm 99 percent certain that we'll find out they aren't doomed to hell because the fact they were certain there was no reward means their actions count afterall.

Tyler Quebedeaux As a college student who always shows up to class and even stealthily comes to a weird and interesting class I'm not supposed to be in: your students are working, trying to find work or living off campus with their parents who struggle to pay for everything. In that last case, every time they avoid paying for transportation, it makes the mood at home less frosty/sad and the "Why won't you just leave/find a job at 19 like we did?" vibes go down a notch. The only people who can afford to attend more classes than absolutely necessary to pass are people like me: privileged kids who just decide to get another master's degree after getting the first because "Actually I don't like that job and I miss college, I was bored". So next time you criticize those students, remember that the only people you're helping are bored, idle, upper-middle class faux intellectuals like me who basically see you as a source of entertainment between two vacations in Spain. That is a 100% sane man in complete control of his senses and actions that is rambling about putting Peeps in the chili pot and adding M&Ms to his Ethics and Moral Philosophy class.
Yeah. Whether you volunteer your life away helping others, or put peeps and candy into chili, in this scenario nothing you do f***ing matters since the end is the same lol
William Jackson Harper is such a great actor. I love his vocal inflection on many of the lines he delivers... he sounds positively evil when he says "Nihilism" and I always laugh out loud when Chidi is doing the pictionary and the horse comes alive and Chidi's scream of "Noooooooo".
