Lol. I yelled at my daughter while FaceTiming my mum and she yelled at me saying that she never punished us why do I want to take her granddaughter’s tv remote from her. I reminded her that she once threw a whole chair at my big brother and she said my imagination is wild because she’s never done such a thing. Reminded her that she use to make us choose our own whipping thing (stick,switch,shoe etc) and she called me a liar

@@olufunkemary6699 I think that stuff effects everyone differently, some ppl are okay but alot aren't but alot of ppl don't want to call their parents abusers so just learn to deal with it, cause alot of the punishments were abuse but we put it down to culture.
Fuhad has shown he has Nigerian parents. Nigerian parents punishment were exercises taken to an extreme level. Pick pin, stay in a squat position (and it had to be at a 90 degree angle) holding your ear and do frog leaps. We children of Nigerian parents really worked our core out.
Their Jamaican cousins were right along with them. I think there were council meetings because they got creative with it 😂

The worst one I remember wasn't even a physical punishment. My mom told me I couldn't go to the school fair and we lived close to the school so I heard the ENTIRE fair without being able to go. That one was rough for me.

Kneeling on uncooked rice was a punishment at my private school in the 90s. It was banned in the 2000s. But they still used corporal punishment. My parents thankfully didn’t sign off on that.

I think the worst part of getting beats, was our mum made us look for the objects and hand it to her so broom, belt, etc. so you were basically giving the instrument that caused you pain to the person that was gonna hit you with it and if you pretended you couldnt find, or honestly couldnt find it, an extra x amount of beatings will be added per minute depending on her anger level. Also having to count your beatings and if you moved the countdown would start from 1 again. Also being banned from eating sugar for a year. After that year i was allowed a sweet for my birthday and vomited everywhere cause i couldnt handle it. Also getting my hair cut for being tenderheaded

My mom was left completely naked under the sun with spicy paste peppers all over her. Her grandmother is the one who saved her after she came back from church. That’s the worst thing I’ve heard as a punishment and I’m glad that I never experienced such abuse.

Parents love forgot the trauma they dished on you. My worse beating was when my mum unplugged my phone charger and beat my bare skin. Then she took my phone. Couldnt speak to no one for help
When I was 12 I was running round the house making noise and I woke up dad up. He grabbed me by the scruff of the neck, picked me up, threw me into the front door, and then slapped me across the face. I started crying. He kept slapping me saying "if you keep crying, I will keep slapping you. I am not raising a p**f." I eventually stopped crying and since then I do not show emotion. Its been 26 years since that beat down and I still hate him.
I got beatings at least twice a week, mostly to "make me a man." The man was a drunk and an abuser.

My dad had us do wall squats for minutes, I think 5. Or he had us do 150-200 lines/sentences. Or had us entire essays on our behavior and why it was unacceptable.
The worst thing i did to my son was have him stand in the corner with his hands in the air. After that, we never really needed to punish him.
F you and that punishment! I had to do that for a whole ass month for grades... then when they didn't improve they added a book. This happened for another month. All while my parents are sitting behind me watching TV enjoying life. It got worse but i gave up on loving them.
Corporal punishment was banned in Uganda.
