Thank you for the review on our Climashield Masonry Cream, Daniel! - We are always happy to hear feedback on our products & we are pleased that you found ours to be one of the 'winners'. 😄
Do you think your product is better than stormdry ? We always use storm dry and think it’s the superior product we are always open to discuss and maybe change products if it’s better
@@Theoldbricklayer Hello, the Stormdry product is certainly very good. In our opinion over a significant period of time, the performance of our product would be comparable. Hope that helps. Nigel@Smartseal
Hello. I've JUST found your channel, and have subscribed. Would these types of products be any good to seal a breeze block council shed? It has been horribly wet and damp for years and seems to be getting worse. The roof is asbestos, and the council won't do anything about that. The council gave it ONE coat of white paint last year (their 20 year maintenance 🙄) but wouldn't do a 2nd coat. I'm disabled with Chronic Illnesses/Severe Chronic Pain, and I live in a rural area, where it is nigh impossible to get any DIY help, but have just recently employed a cleaning lady who can garden too. She mentioned that she could do some shed painting for me. Obviously it's too late in the year now...we have been getting a lot of frosty nights. Do you think another coat of white paint should be put on first, before anything else? It was in a bad way before the council painted it....peeling paintwork, but their layer is so thin, it's peeling again in parts. Any advice would be welcome. Thank you.
Thank you for this video I painted the outside of the building black and not the inside of the brick has formed a white flaky powder. Do you think I could apply stormdry on to the inside wall? The other choice would be over the outside painted wall?
The white powder on the inside will be efflorescence it should be wiped of with a dry cloth or you will just push it back in the wall and it will come back out when it dries
Are these sealers actually a good idea? Thinking of just building a wraparound verandah to solve my problem
Thanks for your details testing! It is very useful!
Can you put on with a paint rollar

Can u paint over the brick once they have been sealed i want to do this inside my garage for the walls

Brilliant video. Really helpful .
Hi, amazing video. Can applying these products be a cheaper alternative to expensive external wall insulation for solid walls?
Fantastic review. Please can you do a review of masonry paint?
Can sandtex weaathershield be applied after

The difference with the climashield and storm dry they last around 25 years but the other 2 are between 1 and 5 years
Good video
Can you plaster thee wall after applying any of these sealers
In theory, the plaster wouldn't stick to it. This is like putting Teflon on your house
this is great thank you. Do you think this will work over painted bricks?
Just repaint.
How much coverage should 1.5 gallons of Stormdry cover?
Don't know if you're in the US (gallons) or not but 1 litre covers about 5 square metre
Useful - thank you and hello to a cute woof
If water can’t get it, then water also can’t get out. Like wearing a plastic coat, it’s going to sweat.inside.
Not necessarily so.
Who the F**k stares at the colour of bricks does it work is what matters.
You can buy a coat from TK max a lot cheaper and replace itnevery two years or you can spend 10x as much and have it last 10x as long.
Your choice.
