    No music, only the sound of the wind and a barking dog in the distance. Nice video.

    Should name the boat Lieutenant Dan "Lieutenant Dan, you got new legs"

    The first time I have ever seen a boat with a kickstand, too cool though.

    Did you have any trouble with wave action when beaching, such as lifting and dropping the keel or legs onto the mud? How did the relaunch go?

    Now that is some cheap dry docking , very cool

    a common thing they do with this size. Set it up and wait for the tide to go out and clean the bottom. Save lots on in and out boat lift and storage.
    Yes a nice boat probably has a Yanmar 1 GM 9 hp diesel in her.

      Common where? To my knowledge the only time water disappeared from a beach like this in Florida was during Katrina.

    Is that Harwich essex? Where was this taken, I'm round the corner in Brightlingsea on a fore & aft.

      Is that Burnham power station in the distance?

    • @todmills
      @todmills 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Given that the transom says "Harwich", I would guess you are correct! Googling "Erica of Hamford" turned up this: vancouver.informe.com/new-chainplates-on-a-v27-dt319.html

    Well, that works of the tide ever comes back in. Otherwise it's just a little house on the beach.

    Nevermind the legs. That's not exactly rocket science or brain surgery, just a bit of common sense. Beats paying $100s for a haulout. What's impressive is the beauty of a reasonable-sized ocean cruising boat. Not the mega-boats most people aspire to and never can afford to own. As the Pardeys always said ' go small, go simple and go now'.

    No good to ask questions, uploader knows nothing about the boat. He just just seen it there, walked around it shooting some vid and upped to TH-cam. Didn't even go close to see how the supports were attached. Best to google "boat beaching legs" to get info

    I be this video was taken by a passer-bye (that's why theres no close ups). I don't see any ladders to climb down from not even a rope ladder. The owners probably jumped in their dingy as soon as it bottomed out and they'll be back at high tide.

    • @SVLOKEE
      @SVLOKEE 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Bubblytubebob The stern ladder was down...

    • @easylee
      @easylee 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe there were ladder rungs on one of the legs, like on francois vivier designs.

      +Bubblytubebob There's also a bucket and brush on the ground, where they were cleaning after beaching.

      I sailed the US east coast and Gulf of Mexico and you wouldn't be able to do this with your pissy little tides. Bay of Fundy - ok but only saw 3ft. tides in the north and under a foot range around Florida. 20ft. spring tides where this was filmed.
