    This was an incredible documentary. I hope to be giving an interview about my interpreting career one day.

    Mind opening. Perhaps if we all put as much time into understanding cultures and languages as interpreters do, there would be less war and conflict.

    I totally agree with her 06:41. She said something practical. It is interesting to know about the history of interpreting.
    Is it fine if the interpreter get carried away like this lady 30:10 ?

      Although it sound really "practical" - it's not how interpreting really works - I mean: you DO need to focus on what you're doing at the moment but if you were to forget every interpreted phrase, you would never be able to build up context to what you're intrerpreting - so you'd probably get lost within a few minutes doing the job.
