I couldnt really find anything on it either, so i made my own. I’m not sure if this is how the race teams do it, but it is a very solid, adjustable, functional design.
I lived in Cambrigeshire for a year. Not bad switching to right hand drive, hard to relearn left hand drive, oddly enough. Is there crosskart racing near where you are?
@@KJRaycing unfortunately it's all professional type racing and beginners or home made karts are mostly frowned upon so we get creative on the farm with a few lads
I've been designing a DIY air shifter for paddles on setups like these, unfortunately the buggy I was going to use it on is not going to get a bike or quad engine anymore and will use a traditional automotive transmission. Would love to see someone use my plans and turn it into something that works. The concept was it would even cut ignition to shift so you could do clutchless no lift shifting.
I did this because I'm a huge fan of 90's rally. Those cars were absolute beasts. The sequential shifting on a stick 3 inches from the wheel just gets me. That is a really cool plan you have fro your project, I hope it works out.
M12 to M10 swivel ball joints. All the parts I use are in the components list. And there is a better walkthrough video: Chapter 16 Fuel Cell and Shift Linkage.
Do you have a website or forum set up somewhere to discuss and ask questions on your builds? I am looking at making something similar in the future. Thanks for the videos!
can you please tell me name of the each parts, i also wanna design similar shifter assembly for my FSAE team so can you please provide the information about each part???
😁. Those guys are awesome, i gave them a call and the guy grabbed axles from the warehouse, put a caliper on the ends and counted the splines to make sure it would fit. I’ll never get axles anywhere else.
Just got my plans and my bender shows up tomorrow! Love the little This Old Tony cuts!
I’ve always had questions on this setup and haven’t been able to find a decent build video. Thanks for this!

Great idea man. Going to try this on my build
Simple, reliable and adjustable. This has worked out really well for me and I hope it does for your build too!
Me encanta ese juguete tuyo, KJ, gracias por tu trabajo y videos. Saludos desde Canarias 🤙
Love what you have done. Have to try and track down some bits and pieces to build one here in Australia. I really like your videos and tips man. 👍
Thank you, that means a lot. I really enjoy my garage tinker time. I hope you get to build one!!
Excellent video!
Thank you very much!!!
Thankfully I'm used to the left had shifter being from the UK but still a great video

I would just like to see a race and go into the pits and look at the real stuff.

I have a facebook set up, I may start a group through there. I am open to ideas, what do you think?
@@KJRaycing I don't have/use Facebook so that would be tough haha. But I'm sure there is some forum based website or something.
