    The TOTL Nissan Kicks is only at 1.6m. Granted it's not the typical charging EV type but you get the same efficiency benefits of EV but can take it for out of town travels because of the lack of range anxiety. Not to mention that it is a Nissan, an already established brand in the Philippines. I don't see this faring well, at all.

    • @benzengap6804
      @benzengap6804 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      That is true. This is overpriced, considering that in China this model, I think, is only $18,000. The import tax is only 20-30% of its price. As an EV, exempted ito from excise tax.You do the math on its relative cost. The only reason why it costs as such, as I see it, is that PMS is cheaper. EVs don't have engines, transmissions...

    BYD is the next choice after Tesla. That is why it is selling like hotcakes in China. The blade battery technology is the best LFP battery in terms of safety. The car will not catch fire. And if for any reason, the battery suffers thermal runaway, it will only show smoke, giving time for the occupants to leave the car. Other LFP batteries catch fire, but not as dangerous as NMCA or NCA batteries. The blade battery has also performed well in cold places like Norway. It is the best battery for the buck. I'm thinking of buying a Dolphin myself, except I'm a six footer. I'll test drive first or do an ocular now that I know that these are available in BYD Makati.

      What ?? Catch fire while driving ? Are you talking about other BYD cars ? Or the dolphin specifically? I was going to get the dolphin but idk about it anymore.

      BYD cars have a blade battery technology which allows for zero leak or explosions when the battery is pierced. You can look it up on TH-cam. A lot of the official reports you bring up are quite rare nowadays. They were only an actual thing a decade or so ago.

      Exactly my thoughts too. Kung car mo 800K meron kang 900K na gas budget which is equivalent to around 200K Km at 15Km/L estimate. Kugi ka sa EV tapos hina pa ng makina. Of course if you want to never add sa carbon footprint, the story becomes different.
