Thank you!! But sadly these shoes (after being broken in a fair amount) did not hold me back at all... I did really love how they looked at first on my feet though--wish they could've worked!! (:
I need to stop watching pointe videos 😵 My feet always feel weird because I want to be on pointe so badlyyyyyy or at least own pointe shoes to hang on my wall and look at ;--; Hopefully next year :D
Aw haha yes one day!! And before I got on pointe did that tooo!! I would just re-watch all the videos over and over again😂😂 there was even this one where a nyc ballet dancer is turning.. I tried to memorize how she did the the turns SO WELL¡¡ and now I'm actually pretty good at that turn!!--Haha keep on keepin on girl! ☺️💓💓

Thanks!! I used to wear Russian hard shanks (and partly still do kind of..) but these in the video are Grishkos!-- they're not 2007s I know that but I can't remember what they told me they were-- but anyways these aren't hard shanks but if I end up liking them I will probably get hard shanks!..

+Caitlin Hanley don't worry mine squeak on demi and mine were hard to break too. my first 6 weeks having them were horrible because they would not break!
Caitlin Hanley just keep breaking them. one thing I did was bend them as far as I could in half and stick them in a place where they would stay bend.
Me too. They might just be stiff but for me I found the vamp was too long and digging into my foot on Demi pointe even after they were almost dead.

Frankie Whitewood yah pointe shoes are crazy. I got them about 9 months ago and have gone through 9 pairs. But it’s worth the pain and everything. I remember crying every day because I wanted to go en pointe so badly. I love ballet

Just from the shoes you have on it looks like your foot narrows toward the heel, go to grishkos TH-cam page and look through their pointe shoes and they will hit on a shoe for feet that taper toward the heel! In the two videos of you showing your shoes the gapping looks to be the show is wide but it doesn't look like you're sinking. I'm tellin ya look through or at least for a point shoe that tapers to the heel.
Edit* it's either grishko or Russians. I can't remember but they have a line of pointes named after precious gemstones like diamond, ruby and sapphire.
Hi!! I'm SOO sorry I'm just seeing this comment!! I definitely will look into it! I'm actually wearing Suffolks now and I'm fairly happy with them-- I've tried 2 styles so far, Steller and Solo, (I actually just posted a video about them!) anyways the solos have a gap around the middle of my foot when I'm flat footed (but on pointe they look fine!) and so that kinda bothers me-- the Stellers though fit a little better through there... Gah idk! My feet just never quite seem to fit in a pointe shoe juuussst perfectly.!! (:
It's Russian Pointe that has shoes for diamond shaped feet (narrow heel and wider forefoot). After years of searching for the perfect shoe, I fell in love with both the Encore and the Rubin. Give them a try if you can find them, they are amazing! Also, there are bit you can customise, including vamp height, which will help hold you back, if that's what you need. :)
Shana Salt yes! Thank you for mentioning the names of the shoes! So glad you have had a good experience with them and able to explain better than I have. It's been longer than I care to admit since I was last able to dance let alone be en pointe.

Hi! Thanks you!!.. To be totally honest I didn't do much really¿ I took pre-pointe for 4 months before going on pointe..! I think that helped a lot. But I do have a video already on some exercises for pre-pointe/pointe that help with mainly ankle strength! ☺️💓
