Due respect to you, nonetheless, you have a funny way of pronouncing the word ''Colonel''. It is a bi-syllabic word rather than a tri-syllabic word. So, the ''LO'' is silent. Pronounced Conel.

It's sad to read some Nigerians praising IBB because the Buhari that is in power now rates poorly in comparison. But on a scale of 1 to 10, if Buhar is rated 1/10, IBB will rate 4/10. The latter is still not a pass mark. The only reason IBB won't score poorly as Buhari is because he didn't author mass killing of Nigerians, though he did his own mass killings under the cover. Some he directly assassinated with public knowledge. The only difference is that IBB was more personable. I sort of prefer the Buhari kind of devil. He doesn't hide his antics unlike IBB. It is Nigerians that are largely stupid for their error of judgment. As the saying goes, once bitten twice shy. Twice bitten reflect stupidity. Buhari second time out was made possible by Nigerians. So they should take responsibility. And the sad part is that they would still make the same mistake again.

Your story is not accurate. You don't have the facts. You didn't mention the actual accounts. You didn't mention Brig-Gen Lawan Gwadabe, Col Umar Kangiwa, Brig-Gen J Shagaya, Brig-Gen Joshua Madaki etc. IBB was to be retired over his involvement with drugs. Hence the the reason for the elimination of Dele Giwa. (Gloria Okon was supposed to have been executed but D Giwa saw her in London.)Idiagbon had warned Buhari not to allow IBB out of his site. It was Sallah and Idaigbon was the head of the Nigerian delegation on pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia. On getting to Katsina, IBB asked permission to visit his uncle in Zaria less than an hr's drive from Daura, Katsina. Abacha had a jet waiting for him there and he flew back to Lagos immediately. On arrival (refer to Gen Domkat Bali's media interview after he was retired) IBB summoned the members of the ruling Supreme Military Council. Announced himself as the President, C-in-C.
His role wasn't that significant in the coup that brought Gowon to power. His mate late Lt-Col Dimka, played a more sensitive role. The likes of Late Gens' Usman Hassan Katsina, Joeseph Garba, Martin Adamu, TY Danjuma, Bisalla and many others that played roles in the counter coup.
The counter coup of Orkar. The reason the coup failed was as a result of then five Northern States that Orkar cut off from Nigeria (Sokoto, Kano, Kaduna, Borno and Gongola States) The coup was successful and Orkars's first or second speech mentioned IBB under their custody. Lt or Capt Mukoro, officer on duty for the armoured vehilces had been playing Chess with IBB's ADC late Col UK Bello (Bello got into an armoured vehicle with the intention of fighting against the coup plotters. When he discovered that the vehicles had been dismantled, he started to give counter orders from the top of the armoured car. At that point on hearing the counter orders, Mukoro asked who was that and he was told it was the President's ADC. He gave his boys orders to kill UK Bello.) while his boys crippled the mechanism of the armoured vehicles.
Rumors has it that the late Ibrahim Abacha was the one who recued IBB and drove him out of Dodan Barracks. Hence Ibrahim Abacha's financial growth began for his loyalty and role for saving IBB.
Ikeja Cantonment is not a key military institution but the Garrisson Command I think on Ozumba Mbadiwe and Dodan Barracks. FRCN is a key factor during a coup because when you announce from there, there will be confusion in the country. That is why the FRCN is heavily guarded both in Lagos and Abuja to this current day.
Dimka's counter has two sides to IBB's role. Gen TY Danjuma then Chief of Army Staff during the Dimka's coup in his book claimed IBB's role was not anything special. However, IBB in his own book said he was allowed into FRCN by the coup plotters because of his relationship with Dimka. When one of IBB's godsons (forgotten his name, but he was a constant visitor to IBB's residence even for meals.) said to Dimka to shoot IBB or the coup will fail. IBB said he told Dimka that he wasn't worried if he died because he knew Dimka will take good care of IBB's family. (A promise IBB failed to keep on his part after Dimka was sentenced to die and Dimka in-turn asked the same favor) It was after IBB left him that Gen Danjuma gave strict orders to IBB to level FRCN but Dimka had escaped by then.
There's a lot more to be said but I have tons of work. I have omitted many other sensitive names that played vital roles too. There are books written by late soldiers that tell most of this stories and the roles some of them played.

Cos they said buhari and Babangida went to hajj together under the pretence of Babangida persuading buhari to let’s them go to hajj together at the same time . Then Babangida claimed he has stomach problems while in Mecca and he needs to return to Nigeria for his medication. Only to return to Nigeria to announced himself as the new head of state after staging the coup with some loyal military personnel’s . 😂😂😂. Please confirm to me if this is a lie cos it’s a different story on your video . lol .

There was nothing to prosecute, beside his mission was to overthrow him , not to kill him, had he killed him, he his regime won’t have survive it. It will have collapsed earlier than it did. He is not stupid. He knows that he had nothing to gain by killing Buhari.

@@alhajiaremualakufoibadan2487 . Maybe so, but if you believe the way the coup was planned, Babangida and his gang , has no intention in killing buhari . For few reasons, Buhari is a Muslim, and from the north , and also he is a Fulani. And those guys don’t forget or forgive. He got away with killing vista , because, even though he was from the north, he was a Christian , and from a very small tribe in Niger. Had vista been a Muslim and a proper Husia man . He won’t have tried it . Babangida is a evil man , he is not a genius, he was just a lucky man.

Nigerians must be walking dead to vote for Muhammadu Buhari to become president in 2015. Nigerians forgot what he did after he overthrew Shehu Shagari...
      Buhari has always been clueless!
Tunde Idiagbon was the brains during the military dictatorship of Buhari.
The military regimes have been a total failure for Nigeria and the civilian govts since 1999 have been corrupt, incompetent and masters of skulduggery!
Nigerians have been living under repression and oppression by successive govts for decades!
