    It is great to see what you do with the gorgeous collages. Coincidentally, in a few hours I have a video scheduled to go live where I put together my collage papers (inspired very much by yours) and then I make a page in an old sketchbook. I hope it doesn't look like I am copying - I made the video on Saturday!😱😂

      I would like to see the Transitions Journal video but I'm not able to find it. Can you please give me the link?

      Sparky In Oregon Sure! Hit the link in the video for Robin Marie studio website. Click on “courses” on her homepage and scroll down a little bit. I think the title is “the transitions journal” and in the box it says free. It’s a wonderful course!

    Love the journals, I am thinking of making one myself, but ever practical I wonder do you write in them or is it just a wonderful collection of your artworks, blessing from Australia

      I do have journals that I write and do art in and others are just for practice, sketching and experimenting.

    I LOVE your work! I play a lot with COFFEE and making my own coffee PATTERN PAPERS and make them available for free for others to use, and I think you might like to try some of the techniques I use, nothing super fancy or new, but fun and playful like the amazing art you make!! 🥰 u rock! xo Marci

    I have enjoyed watching all of you updates and am going to be so sad when the 100 days is over; Can you share what you used to glue the tea bags to the paper? Would soft gel work?

      Thanks so much, Vicki! The tea bags are super thin so a glue stick or soft gel would work.

    When you use chalk pastel on any of your pieces do use a fixative?

    • @RobenMarieSmithArt
      @RobenMarieSmithArt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most of the time I don't need it because the water acts as a sort of binder. If I feel I do, I might use a pastel fixative.

    Question...on your first tracing paper page...why would you cover that nice paint marks with a piece of paper with paint marks? I am trying to learn and was wondering if it because you wanted to create a collage page effect? Because it drives me crazy when i see nice paint marks covered up......lol

      Hey! For this, I wanted to use a paper from The 100 Day Project and the one I used was speaking to me. I wanted to use the tracing paper page and I didn't like the orange mixed with the pink in the paper. As I mentioned in the video, I can use the other side of the tracing paper with the orange paint for the next layout. When I create journals with painted papers inside, it is my intention to paint and collage on them and change them.

      @@RobenMarieSmithArt Oh i see..it is just that I love your marks and hate to see you cover them up,...lol...but I see what you mean. I looked up your Transition Workshop but there are too many items I do not have...would love to just see basic video on how you constructed the book..especially since it is one book that finally is made without sewing it! lol

    That tracing paper seems really stiff. Was there any clear gesso or anything else on it? If not what brand makes it that thick and sturdy?

    • @RobenMarieSmithArt
      @RobenMarieSmithArt  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, I did not put gesso on it. It is a premium tracing paper, which is thicker than the regular.
