This is the raw unedited video of 4 dead pines that were in a slightly awkward spot. Luckily I had a few other trees to tie myself into, so it was slightly safer.

A good rule of thumb I've always climbed dead pines by is, "If it's got needles and limb structure then I can hand-hold the top."

Yea my go to is if there are still cones on it then there is still some sap left

When you tap the tree with the lanyard shackle inspecting for dead wood have you ever found it to be to bad and turned it down?

And at this company if I have a problem there is a "relief climber" I personally don't think he could both get to me and administer aid, so I do my best to not get injured.
