Red Dead Redemption 2 is a 2018 action-adventure game developed and published by Rockstar Games. The game is the third entry in the Red Dead series and a prequel to the 2010 game Red Dead Redemption

Thats insane how insane RDR2 looks even after 5 years
Yup, been playing on my 4090 and its a technical marvel. I cant imagine how good a RDR3 would look. If they make that game, its going to be mind blowing.
Considering the state of most "AAA" games today and even at the time of rdr2's release

Rockstar is probably the only game dev that releases games that look even better than the trailers. Usually its the other way around with downgrades

God man to this day I still wish we had a ps5 patch for RDR2. I would replay it again and again.

Even to this day alan wake 2 cyberpunk didn't able to beat this monster.

Alan Wake 2 came pretty close though. And since it is using Path Tracing, we can it might have even managed to beat RDR2.
Completely different kinds of game worlds but ok.
Cyberpunk with path tracing literally looks like real life.

Rockstar is one of the few devs who can release a game that looks better than the trailers, the work they put into these games are amazing. i just wished they didnt abandon this game for gta online.

rdr2 soundtrack is hella relaxing
I will admit, Directional lighting took quite a hit in final release and a lot of it became baked in essentially. But it also just depends on the scene. the Trailer looks like it was comprised of the best they had at the time so its super inconsistent, but some shots I might say look better than anything in final release but had to be scaled back to be consistent visually. It's better to be visually consistent than to not be.
Not to mention that it was in broad daylight when they decided to show gameplay trailer
Probably the only guy who can admit it clearly instead of being a fanboy, it's clear at certain position due to favourable weather and lighting conditions, the trailer almost looks photorealistic. But the final release doesn't. Looks very good though anyway.

@@helloWorld-04 Bruh did you see the textures in the trailer? It's never photorealistic.
@@JustaUser24876 that is first of all due to youtubes compression. Second, the textures don't determine if a game looks photorealistic. It's the lighting and how the surfaces react to it. You can see the same difference in hellbade 2 e3 vs retail. As well as anthem, though anthem retail looks very bad. Also the division.

on the pc release they seemed to have increased the rendering distance than release
i was playing on friends ps4 and the further trees and mountains looked much more blurry than pc version
and the environment and character models looked a bit washed out and not as sharp as PC version
But its still incredible what they managed to pull off for a decade old console
lighting in the trailer was better, the faces had proper illumiantion on them

idc about textures being better when lighting is worse, the textures also appear better because the lighting is rougher not as smooth
@@wingedhussar1453 Lighting quality in pc version is better actually. It's just the different times of day.
The trailer mostly used sunshine/sunsets in the background to make it look more cinematic and pleasing to the eye.
I wish they can make a remaster for the ps5 like 120 hz, smoother gameplay
This game wouldn't run on PS5 at 120 FPS unless they drop the quality to even worse than PS4's. 60 FPS are possible.
5:44 speaks for itself that difference from the trailer and the PC is soo noticeable, really brings down the hole feeling of the scene.(Directional lighting is just soo good in the trailer )

PC really takes all the games steps far away superior, cant wait for the GTA VI PC version too, the Ray Tracing is gonna be insane, hope the upcoming 5090 that I am waiting can carry the game flawlessly...
RAGE game engine without ray tracing feature looks way more better
@@littleboy9844nah, every other game like SpiderMan, The Witcher 3, and cyberpunk all look so much better with RTX. Even though Rockstar’s the best in the industry it wouldn’t hurt to add some more enhancements for the game.
PC version deserves some Ray Tracing like Global Illumination, RTAO and reflections IMO. It would be optional but could bring out more from the game already good graphics and the game's main theme is realism and with RT it would be even more realistic everybody would see how much a well implemented RT can elevate the graphics fidelity into another level.
Rockstars global illumination is the best in the biz. They don't need to ray trace their games.

@@mac2312 Everything maxed out. I have an RTX 4080.
I say all RDR2 needs is RT AO and RT Shadows and the game would look awesome. There aren’t that many reflections in the game apart from the water reflections.
It’s hard to say some of the trailer graphics looks better looking but then the pc enhanced version looked more graphically realistic
Bro i really perfer the game than the trailer tbh. Look yes u are right “some” sceans looks nice but not all. Look how arther looks like in tralier when he was mad he look off with a big mouth in all. It look wierld tbh just his old face in the tralier didint look right. But the game verison looookkkkssss so good idk why u cant see that?

Most likely, especially it being only the first trailer for GTA 6 and we probably still have a year and a half until release. These aren’t even the first trailers for red dead and the difference is still very evident. The first trailers details in graphics wasn’t even this close to the release for red dead. You start noticing the difference in quality with the 3rd trailer they released. It starts to look better.

The game still isn’t finalized yet. On release I’m willing to be bet she’ll be just as detailed if not more.

Direction of quite a few scenes in the trailers were better, i don't know why they made it more simple in the release.

Yeah the game actually looks like this on PC. The resolution of the game in this video is 4k. You probably played the game at below 4K.
It's probably;
Trailer - Console Release (Xbox One X) - PC (Maxed-Out)
That's why it says "enhanced" on the title.
And yes, the game looks like that on PC.
Couldn't really get into this game compared to GTA but oh well.

What mod? By PC enhanced (i believe) he means the PC version is just superior to the console version as it was developed and enhanced for pc players
No mod, it's just the PC version of the game

This video does exactly what the title mentions. If you're unsatisfied with that, then you only have yourself to blame.
Besides, as a fan of RDR2, I found this video informative. The lack of differences between the game versions is not a negative aspect of this comparison. For me, knowing the tiny little details is what makes this video interesting.
