Cameron’s love for Lauren is absolutely one of the most beautiful human loves I’ve ever witnessed. I actually just am so outdone with the first two mins of this. What a beautiful blessing to be married to a man like this. What a blessing. And I pray to Jesus who is The Healer of all will bless you all with a baby. I stand in Faith and will continue to on your behalf. GOD bless you.

They to me are the perfect example is that you have to show up ready for the fight. That’s the thing that lacks in all the other seasons people were clearly not ready for marriage or even to share a space let alone a life. Chile they need to wrap the show after this season lol

I love that a relationship that started from a reality show has turned into a dynamic that has not only grown their own love story, but they’re using their love to grow relationships outside of themselves, whether it be self-love or romantic love. Like the old saying goes “love is nothing til you give it away”. Thank you for sharing & talking about important issues such as fertility. This space is truly needed. 🥰❤️ xo

I've found those that struggle with fertility become more understanding and compassionate to those who are involuntarily single than those that are married and have children. Both are longing for something that is actually out of their control.

She gave language to my feelings about how as a millennial I was taught to focus on school and career then as a woman established struggling to conceive I’m shamed for the struggle. When they discussed us women from the millennial was hoodwinked. It’s so true, they pushed success on us, being independent, not needing a man, and we can have kids old, it taught us to be masculine in a way. Now some of us have a hard time being soft in our relationships, we have control issues and the biggest one is realizing that fertility issues is a thing! So ppl who decided to wait now trying to have kids in their late 30s could be struggling. Great episode!!

Cameron almost got me in the beginning. I was single when I was told fibroids would prevent me from having children. I have experienced being a bonus mom and found comfort in being around friends with children who are now having grandchildren. The journey has been different, yet still rewarding. Keep trying for your dream. Ironically, it happens more often when you stop trying for lack of a better word. Great interview, great couple on this episode.

Speaking strictly on fertility, I am the daughter of a woman who had me at 48yrs old and my brother at 42yrs old. No IVF. If my parents had listened to strictly medicine, my sibling and I would not be here. We were born health, no developmental, physical or mental disabilities. So, Cam is right. So long as you as a woman are ovulating, you have every chance. I was unplanned on top of that. Blessings to both couples.

This has been my story so far. Went through my first pregnancy and unfortunate miscarriage earlier this summer. I’m also someone who has history of fibroids and have had surgery to remove them, which unfortunately also led to me losing an ovary. I was also told at least I can get pregnant so I’m trying to hold on to this optimism and really just hope. It is extremely difficult for me emotionally but therapy and my husband is helping tremendously.

I know we’ve been throwing the buzz words like demure, mindful around. But I just want to take a moment to acknowledge how MINDFUL both Cam and Ace are. In fact, I was a fan of Ace for something he did in his role as a father (that went viral) before I even knew who he was, or that he was going to be on “that” show. Another beautiful episode! Ace and Shelah are a beautiful couple and a great example of working on yourself, being yourself, and being able to receive the right person for you when it's your time. I never watched their season of Love and Hip Hop because I was checked out of reality tv at that time, but the clips that I would see of them or compilations of their experience on that show always showed their vulnerabilities as a couple and how they were a support to each other. You can just tell they're best friends and they love being around each other like the voice characters to each other. These episodes as crazy as it sounds allow me to remain hopeful for romantic love as I continue to work on myself. Love between healed or always positively evolving people will always yield beautiful love❤

I love you all! I’ve never been pregnant, and I have come to terms with the fact that I may not have a child in this lifetime. I've grappled with some tough questions about the purpose of bringing a child into this world. I envisioned it as a beautiful experience to raise a life alongside someone I loved and who loved me in return. However, those relationships didn’t withstand the test of time, and I’m genuinely grateful we didn’t have a child together. It would have created chaos and distracted me from my own path, especially as I would have likely ended up raising a child as a single mother, which is where those relationships were headed and exactly what I didn’t want for me or my child. So I send you love on your journey and know that you have each other and you have God to lean on

26:48 Not only do women question themselves about their womanhood (because of what we’ve been conditioned to believe) even when we do feel our womanhood, everyone else especially other women still think that being a mom is the main proof that you’re beautiful and a woman. And you can feel their disgust, confusion, worry, or some other negative tension in the air. This is also why so many people have this inner hatred for women who just don’t want to have kids… well that’s the top layer anyway. It gets deeper than that.
All in all, Outrwomanhood is very much socially tied to motherhood and it sucks that people don’t understand the truth. It would set so many of us free.

We are literally made to do that - it’s the same with men and their manhood. Whether I’m you like it or not, it’s the very essence of our existence

A beautiful and very emotional podcast. Cam and Lauren your love for each other is really wonderful to see. Thank you for sharing your fertility journey, a very brave thing to do. I’m sure you have helped a lot of couples, being so open and authentic. I will be praying that you succeed at becoming parents. You may be surprised and things just happen when you least expect it. That’s what happened with my daughter. She has a hormonal issue and was told by doctors that her chances of getting pregnant were very slim. She resigned herself to being childless and decided to get a little dog baby especially as she was coming to the end of her 30’s. Out of the blue she conceived naturally without trying and is blessed with twins, due in a few weeks. Miracles do happen so stay positive. There is no distance in prayer so I will be sending lots to you from the UK. God bless you both 🙏🏽🙌🏽

Lauren and Cameron, I had to share my heart, I have followed you guys since season 1 and my friend had told me that she saw clips of your podcast where you speak about infertility and doing fertility treatments, I just want to sincerely thank you for using your voice and platform to shed light on a very difficult, sensitive, weight bearing issue, my husband and I have been on this fertility journey for 7 years, iuis, two rounds of IVF and we are still waiting on our miracle baby, I say this to say, for those who can only truly understand by having to go through it, my husband and I share our prayers and hearts with you during this journey - please know you don’t owe anyone anything, although I am thankful for your sharing I know how incredibly difficult it is to talk about and for you guys on such a major platform, praying continued strength, good health, and endurance 🙏🙏

I wondered why they didn’t go live before this one and after seeing can see why. Infertility is a hard topic. I appreciate the openness. It is such a taboo topic, and it should not be. There’s no shame, there’s no need for guilt. GOD works all things out in this timing. Thanks for opening up to us once again. My heart truly was blessed, and I pray others see the importance of assumptions and asking inappropriate questions. Think before you speak. Please.

I REALLY needed this one, y’all got me ready to get UNRULY up in here lol. I can’t make the Texas retreat but I love a good black woman healing book! Just to add, I feel like there are lots of spaces nowadays for Black women to come together spiritually and do some healing, but not all those spaces are safe. Women can be some of the most mean and backhanded towards each other especially in so-called healing circles. They speak of no judgement and then turn around and tell your business to anyone who will hear. There’s a rush to see who can be the most woke, and if you don’t fit that definition then you are pushed to the back and forced into a role of spiritual consumerism where only a couple of people are allowed to shine and all others must quiet themselves in the background. I believe like sis said, she is not anyone’s guru. We are ALL gurus to ourselves, we are all powerful and beautiful and talented and gifted, and we all have something to share with this world. I can’t wait to read this book!
