    when using flint and steel and there is some wind running, take advantage of the wind direction so it can push the sparks to land on the charred cotton making easy ember.

      That is a fantastic suggestion mate. Also got to worry about camera angles a bit too though😂.
      I am really happy how little wind noise the microphone picked up. It was in a sheltered little corner. That worked really well.
      Thank you for watching and for sharing some knowledge.
      Have a fantastic weekend my friend.

    Unni has been tagged too.. 'catch that squeaky squirrel' !! lol
    Great review of some awesome knives Tim bro !
    2:40.. now that's a knife !!
    The Safari 's manger is very pretty on the eye !
    ..what a beautiful young lady !
    I made charcloth years ago.. and it does light easily from sparks !!
    ..but that might have been because in my case I made it from a
    pair of my old underpants !! lol
    Hope all is well bro !! Cheers to you !!
    OMG ! Black puds !! lol

      Finnish black pud is not like back home in Bury😢. They do however have Lihapirakka wich is kind of like a donut with meat instead of Jam. Genius idea.
      Thanks for watching Andy. Have a fantastic weekend.
      Give Jimmy a scratch between the ears from me.

    I like the look of that Norwegian bacon. Looked like a fine day out. What a lovely accent she has! You work well together. I've gotta get one of those angry stoves 😠.

      Thank you Travis, it is good that we work well together. She first came to help out on her school holidays when she was 15, since then we have had 10 years of dealing with difficult dogs, problamatic clients, extreme cold, incompetent guides and all hell breaking loose on a regular basis. Of course it's not always like that but when it is its great to have someone calm and sensible like Marika around. Also always cheerful, even feeding the dogs in - 35 f at the end of a 17 hour day (I don't know how she does that) 😂.
      Bacon is awesome too. Those stoves are bloody handy, quite a lot of work to keep them going. There is a more efficient way. I will maybe make a video on that at some point.
      Thanks for watching mate.

    Great video, man! Really enjoyed your choice of knives!
    Also cool to see your friend catch on with the flint and steel. I'll always remember the first flint and steel fire I made. I was chuffed!

      Never owned a Roselli knives. Just tried a few. Seems like a very handy puukko. Handle looks very comfortable.

    • @KuukkeliBushcraft
      @KuukkeliBushcraft  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No problem mate, what is your name by the way. I understand if you don't want people on social media to know, so don't feel obliged to tell me.
      What do you think of Roselli? I have heard some very mixed opinions here in Finland. My little Roselli is a great little knife but I have no experience of the others.
      Have a fantastic weekend mate.

    • @OldForestBushcraft
      @OldForestBushcraft ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KuukkeliBushcraft yeah my name is Ilari (last name Edelmann). Live here in the village of Fiskars, in south west Finland. I have actually no problem sharing my name etc. So I have no social media angst in that sense, keeping total anonymity etc.
      Hmm.. have very little experience with Rosellis..
      Have tried few ones that friends had. Those seemd very nice. Seems kind of a maverick knife maker (if thats makes any sense) in the Finnish puukko field. Also heard some mixed things about them, on the other hand much praise for the steels, but also some chipping problems. But definitely dont want to judge without using them at all. Should probably get one!

    I like those little Svords - seem quite robust! Good to have a folder as back up. Those dogs care only for the bacon - the eyes say it all!
    Cheers mate!

    • @KuukkeliBushcraft
      @KuukkeliBushcraft  ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you saying my Unni only cares for bacon? That is so far from the truth, squirrels mate, you should see her around squirrels. We seem to be in the middle of a population explosion around the farm at the moment. Only a matter of time until she catches one and she knows it😂.
      As for me I genuinely only do care about bacon.
      Thank you very much for watching Steve, have a faboulus weekend mate.

    That bacon looked just so good. I cant even remember last time i had that like big hunk of meat i just have eaten the pre cut pieces. I actually prefer bit thicker cut

    • @KuukkeliBushcraft
      @KuukkeliBushcraft  ปีที่แล้ว

      Bacon is just about the best thing ever. It is obviously better thicker cut because that way you can fit more in the pan😂.
      Thank you very much for watching mate. Have a great weekend.

    Great video, as usual! How do you like your anorak in conditions like that? I have one just like, same color.

    • @KuukkeliBushcraft
      @KuukkeliBushcraft  ปีที่แล้ว

      Really nice for warm windy conditions, the ventilation is awesome to control just how much heat to let out. Really nice for backcountry skiing in the spring too.
      I will have to do a video on it someday.
      Thanks for watching mate.
