They should've leaned into Bot/Ai controlled squads and make all weapons and vehicles cross campaign unlocks while making new Campaigns like the French early war, Battle of the Bulge, and Kursk. This merge development time is actually severely holding the game back. They could even make it so the first few games played in each campaign is a player vs ai game so new players dont get run over by real players.
BR 5 should be its own queue. Let all the sweatlords with their fake prototype bullet hoses with no recoil and super tanks that couldn't drive cross country play against each other. The jump from bolt actions and shit SMGs to basic semis and mid SMGs isn't so great, but 3 and 4 against 5 level BS is massive. You couldn't kill Jumbos and Tigers with mid level Panzer 4/Sherman in Normandy. Normally I would say Lvl 1 and Lvl 5 should be their own queues and 2-4 should be its own, but I would rather 1's scrub up to 4 and 5s feckoff by themselves. Unless DF seriously rebalances a lot of guns, like FG42 auto fire, drum magazines jamming and taking forever to load, etc.
At this point, my hopes are one step into the tomb, so many promises and "soons" but nothing, as the devs only listen to the whiney greasy tryhards and manchilds who run the forums like a mob and making changes based on their feelings, but at least I have been playing HLL recently to cope with it.
The worst part about enlisted's customization is the random elements that you get. I put a moscow soldier into a squad and he either does or does not get a helmet and it's completely random. I then have to use a limited currency to buy a helmet that other soldiers get for free. Another good example is the default shirt/webbing for every infantry soldier is the rifleman uniform. For my assaulters, I have to buy MP-38 mag pouches where it would be standard in other games. The customization should be free and then have fancy cosmetics that you can unlock with kills or equipment use. IE building 15 rallies lets you equip Pioneer goggles or something.

agree with almost all of this. obviously, it's mostly common sense stuff. but the opposite of what we have now would be a WWII game where you take part in every campaign all at once which seems odd to me. players tend to favor a certain period and theater, so i really don't see the game as being _that_ fractured. it doesn't even really matter at this point though. whatever they're going to do, i wish they'd just do already. ik a lot of people are getting tired of waiting.
I feel like a bunch of the younger players aren't as interested in ww2 like us nerd boomers. They need to be progressing into technology and time like warthunder. Korea, Nam, WW1 could all fit and fill out the tech trees. And if they just add a few things to the modern event and a few maps for a sub-ww3 mode im sure that alone would catch the interest of a few thousand spedz.
The game needs to create more incentive for mid to high level players, way more than just weapon progression, smth like the system deployed in HNG or For Honor. Weapon progression drives people to play more but what happens when you have access to good stuff? You lose interest, unless there's something bigger to play for, a competition, a war map.
Even war thunder had a cool World War mode. Enlisted and current WT are way too static and boring nothing changes with those maps it's still defending same objectives from same sides in 2021 and in 2023.
Like bring back the events that people missed out on like all paratroopers from factions & event tanks or the feigerfaust or other weapons that were being missed out like when they were doing an event for the louie machine guns or the chi hai kai events

Matter fact I think most of the historical mistakes made in the game are very minor compared to larger in accuracies like vulkssturm guns in the early war or an as44 in Stalingrad like in vanguard. But if you want major historical inaccuracies then go to customs. Keep it out of the main matches or lobbies.
Have you seen how new players do in War Thunder? Most complaints I heard about from new players on that game being the economy and the ridiculous amount of grind like what if a player wants to play modern tanks where he has to grind all the vehicles that may not interest him to the point that would just quit. Sure Enlisted is only published by Gaijin but Gaijin still has the power and influence in the decision making for Darkflow.
Two outcomes play low BR cuz iys fun or quit the game cuz iy will take a year plus to get one modern tank just to get shit on cuz you have no other vehicles at that br and everyone else at that br has maxed equipment for that rank. The tiger 1 experience basically.
On one side the merge is good because it will bring players together, but it also sucks because of the new grind system making it even harder and longer

And that's only if they let you to go through tiers like in old WT where you don't need to unlock other vehicles/weapons. It will obviously take more time to get to the mp40 post merge. They should add universal unlock tree instead the merge.
The fact that enlisted is having these issues goes to show how much the forum uses play into the issues. “Nerf everything I don’t like” “My (insert item here) is perfectly fine and actually needs to be buffed because (insert claim here)” and if you disagree with this said person, you get personally attacked and disregarded. I’ve made posts about buffing the MG42 belt to be 100 (like the box not the drum) so it can compete with the other LMGs in game, I got told that it wouldn’t help and I’m a complainer. I asked if the AA guns could get some improvements and I gave good ideas and I got shut down. There is a small handful of people on the forum that are the “bosses” of the forum and if you’re not on their side, you are not getting a word in at all. I love this game and I’m loosing the feeling of enjoyment of this game because of the issues brought on by the people who want to bring this game into line with CoD and BFV.

Regarding power creep and mid level guns , vehicles etc. As you asked in another video "who's going to use PPD 40 or PPSH 41 or Panther A. The people who use it at the moment .Players on their way up until unlocking something better , for as much time as it takes. Or people who really like that weapon or vehicle. I don't think anybody uses PPD with Fedorov and AS44 unlocked. Same for all weapons and vehicles progression. You're absolutely right about the game , not being established , with fragile present and future status. Huge problem that really keeps it from developing and drawing bigger audience. You’re totally right. A lot of weapons have a niche that’s going to be lost in the merge. Like volksturm weapons in Berlin. They’re only used by new players in the campaign until something better is unlocked in the first few levels. Personally, I was hoping they’d keep that niche alive by giving some of the weak late war weapons a high BR in a low tier to open up late war maps to new players just to keep their usefulness. Wishful thinking.
Flipping sandbags is usually premapped, but you may need to map it to a certain button. If you spend some time in the training map you can play with and learn all about the various ways in which keys are mapped and you can custom map them yourself.
Post merge i see no point in playing Axis in low-mid tiers since their gear is inferior in every single way when compared to the US and Soviets, US have two paras now at BR1-3 while Axis have zero, Soviets doesn't have paras atm but going to get them soon and be able to equip them with op ppsh-41 box while Axis only has extremely mediocre MP40/Beretta 40 mag, us has lanchester 50, m1 garand, m1 carbine with nades and M1918M2 good luck competing against that. It's the same about Japan (at least their smgs and AT rifles are good enough) they will get completely dominated by the Allies spamming BAR, M1 Garand, Lanchester 50 and ofc Calliopes, Shermans and Jumbos. Speaking of Soviets we can't play Moscow with PPSh-41 drum that we have been using for so long. It's just dreadful Berlin 24/7. Top BR will be only populated by US and Germans since Soviets going to become bots from chasing trains all day long (painful death through boredom and anger due garbage maps), we really need Leningrad maps asap for Mid and High BR. While Low-Mid BR going to be GER/JP bot farm with a few clueless new players that going to ragequit the game due unbalance of equipment and playerbase or join the opposite side. Just like you said in video there are no point in using Tiger 1 you could say same thing about Mkb42(h) and MP43/1 or earlier BARs. They should add 6th BR so there would be no more gambling-ques with BR3 and you could put those vehicles and weapons mentioned above into lower tiers.

I recently noticed that in some campaigns weapons are premium and in others they are regular. Like the johnson rifle in Normandy vs Pacific. How will this work after the merge?
They need to put a toggle option to put in any higher tier regardless of your loadout. And give extra rewards the higher you get out gunned like they are doing with the join random faction option rewards.

Also,when i grinded stalingrad to get the ppsh for germans i had 1 player say to me "why you cheat",( i grinded no-life all day for weeks to get the 24 lvl thinking that the merge would come out days ago while also having maxed axis berlin,pacific,normandy) but when you play that much you know how to get many kills fast, i have found that when i take a tank in stalingrad in a specific map,dont remember name, i can usually with 3 shots in some spots in a building, 1st attacking point, take 20-30 kills 1st minute. Also i havent found cheaters in my games other than some "game features" 180 0.3 sec no scope bots once this month,the explosives that dont kill kv1 on front/tracks sometimes. i'd love for the game to have anticheat to not destroy my exp as a sweatlord and leave the game,fortunately i havent seen an infestation or even 1 (obvious at least)cheater from when i started playing from when the game had 4 campaigns on eu,ru servers,from my experience
It's just annoying, and leaves so many issues; why is my player rating going down whenever I win, usually with hero? How do we get new squads? Why am I playing as the US in Tunisia? Why am I pretty much just sent to Normandy and have to desert before I even start because I don't want to play Normandy? And what the f*** is going on with the research tree?
The old system could have worked if the campaigns had more than 5 whole maps split into 3 sections with faction varied starting points being counted as 'maps'. Thats just sad tbh. Not alot of variation. Take pacific for example compare COW World at War with Pacific maps. For the longest while we had the coast river map that was split into 3. And the small island map split into two. Then there is the BR system copies straight from WT whose players including myself have always complained how retarded it it. Use an aggregate or avg BR would have a way better outcome.
The 2 MMR queues are likely because of low player counts. If they had 5 (one for each BR) The queues would be so low that we would never have full or even partially filled lobbies. If they had 3 they would still be pretty long, but the balance would be better. 2 queues I feel is fine with the current player numbers, but the current mix of power levels in each BR tier makes it unbalance. I feel if they just balanced out what weapons and armor was in each BR the current MM system could work. Once numbers increase (or they improve AI) 3 4 or 5 queues would be the dream.
I started the game 3 days ago, thé main point who made me angry is the separation between progression and campain (like u told total game player is /6 DUE to campain) thanks and i hope merge is soon
Great video. 👍🏼 I podcast-ed the whole thing while on my way to work, and honestly, agree with like 98% of what you said, straight forward and easy to understand with your analogies and some pretty out of space examples. 😅🤟🏼 The only thing is that I've been playing and streaming every test server, and I'm pretty sure there are 3 queues (for most of the time) BR3 goes in games sometime with BR2 and sometime with BR4, so in that sense it's almost balanced. Not once I've had BR1 or BR5 while playing BR3.. 🤔 and if I do see something comically low like a Pz.ii or AB41 while playing BR3 I only assume people still don't understand how to make strictly one battle rating line-ups. Essentially their own fault. Cheers. 🎉
DF seriously needs to figure out something better to do with bots as well besides them being spawns and bodies to cap objectives. The game could set itself apart by being part RTS ala brothers in arms, they were able to make really good not cheesy AI for Halo 21 years ago, idk why theu have to be so brainless. Maybe nerf damage vs human players?

Even now everything is this video is true, especially the cheaters. You cant build a rally point without a cheater killing it from across the map threw solid walls and the same with people having hard time on cap point's getting killed the same way.
Enlisted has to many irritating flaws that need to be fixed before it should have been lanched and therfore sadly i think it aint gonna come a rush of so many new players to this game. I have prayed enslisted for a month and a half and boght several packages at the berthday sale and i almost regret it.
the worst update.. i basically quit playing as it has become more complex than my work.. i have to calibrate each weapon to what map i ll play and i have to now get some stupid tanks in maps that never existed. things were fine.. easy balancing changes could have been done without this overengineered nonsense

Post merge i see no point in playing Axis in low-mid tiers since their gear is inferior in every single way when compared to the US and Soviets, US have two paras now at BR1-3 while Axis have zero, Soviets doesn't have paras atm but going to get them soon and be able to equip them with op ppsh-41 box while Axis only has extremely mediocre MP40/Beretta 40 mag, us has lanchester 50, m1 garand, m1 carbine with nades and M1918M2 good luck competing against that.
It's the same about Japan (at least their smgs and AT rifles are good enough) they will get completely dominated by the Allies spamming BAR, M1 Garand, Lanchester 50 and ofc Calliopes, Shermans and Jumbos. Speaking of Soviets we can't play Moscow with PPSh-41 drum that we have been using for so long. It's just dreadful Berlin 24/7.
Top BR will be only populated by US and Germans since Soviets going to become bots from chasing trains all day long (painful death through boredom and anger due garbage maps), we really need Leningrad maps asap for Mid and High BR. While Low-Mid BR going to be GER/JP bot farm with a few clueless new players that going to ragequit the game due unbalance of equipment and playerbase or join the opposite side.
Just like you said in video there are no point in using Tiger 1 you could say same thing about Mkb42(h) and MP43/1 or earlier BARs.
They should add 6th BR so there would be no more gambling-ques with BR3 and you could put those vehicles and weapons mentioned above into lower tiers.

I recently noticed that in some campaigns weapons are premium and in others they are regular. Like the johnson rifle in Normandy vs Pacific. How will this work after the merge?
They need to put a toggle option to put in any higher tier regardless of your loadout. And give extra rewards the higher you get out gunned like they are doing with the join random faction option rewards.

Also,when i grinded stalingrad to get the ppsh for germans i had 1 player say to me "why you cheat",( i grinded no-life all day for weeks to get the 24 lvl thinking that the merge would come out days ago while also having maxed axis berlin,pacific,normandy) but when you play that much you know how to get many kills fast, i have found that when i take a tank in stalingrad in a specific map,dont remember name, i can usually with 3 shots in some spots in a building, 1st attacking point, take 20-30 kills 1st minute. Also i havent found cheaters in my games other than some "game features" 180 0.3 sec no scope bots once this month,the explosives that dont kill kv1 on front/tracks sometimes. i'd love for the game to have anticheat to not destroy my exp as a sweatlord and leave the game,fortunately i havent seen an infestation or even 1 (obvious at least)cheater from when i started playing from when the game had 4 campaigns on eu,ru servers,from my experience
It's just annoying, and leaves so many issues; why is my player rating going down whenever I win, usually with hero?

Why am I pretty much just sent to Normandy and have to desert before I even start because I don't want to play Normandy?

The old system could have worked if the campaigns had more than 5 whole maps split into 3 sections with faction varied starting points being counted as 'maps'. Thats just sad tbh. Not alot of variation. Take pacific for example compare COW World at War with Pacific maps. For the longest while we had the coast river map that was split into 3. And the small island map split into two. Then there is the BR system copies straight from WT whose players including myself have always complained how retarded it it. Use an aggregate or avg BR would have a way better outcome.

The 2 MMR queues are likely because of low player counts. If they had 5 (one for each BR) The queues would be so low that we would never have full or even partially filled lobbies. If they had 3 they would still be pretty long, but the balance would be better. 2 queues I feel is fine with the current player numbers, but the current mix of power levels in each BR tier makes it unbalance. I feel if they just balanced out what weapons and armor was in each BR the current MM system could work. Once numbers increase (or they improve AI) 3 4 or 5 queues would be the dream.

War thunder goes from 1.0-12.3, if you have too few BR's then the game gets compressed like you say with the tigers

The only thing is that I've been playing and streaming every test server, and I'm pretty sure there are 3 queues (for most of the time) BR3 goes in games sometime with BR2 and sometime with BR4, so in that sense it's almost balanced. Not once I've had BR1 or BR5 while playing BR3.. 🤔 and if I do see something comically low like a Pz.ii or AB41 while playing BR3 I only assume people still don't understand how to make strictly one battle rating line-ups. Essentially their own fault. Cheers. 🎉

DF seriously needs to figure out something better to do with bots as well besides them being spawns and bodies to cap objectives. The game could set itself apart by being part RTS ala brothers in arms, they were able to make really good not cheesy AI for Halo 21 years ago, idk why theu have to be so brainless. Maybe nerf damage vs human players?

the developers have done alot of great things to the game..I started to play it the day it came out. Alot has been done to improve the game,and im impressed . one of my favorite fps game. Just chill out.They always fix things in the game.They do care. You could chose the campaign before,but they made some changes in the meny,but they will fix it if people cant handle it.. New technologies and graphical improvements

Since they removed so many premium squads & tanks like the ka chi & lancia flame mods i really wanted to try them out cuz they look so fun to use then I have to grind again it looks boring now & very empty nothing seems fun to do anything anymore have to grind all over again i wanted to try out all the premium stuff but they removed it Im done i like trying out new things instead of having the same boring squads all the time but now its not realky historical accurate anymore why would the company say its historical accurate when they remove all the fun stuff I wanted to purchase even the gerat squad its not op but it had a bunch of semis which was cool looking rifles now they want you to play with boring shi it makes the game super boring now its not about being op becuase youre gonna go against higher tier battle players anyways i loved the premium squads cuz they also help me grind faster instead of spending months trying to grind a new campaign its dumb you have to do everytbing all over again im done with this game i really wanted to collect the squads just to havw it least so i can go against players its so dumb they make you miss out to the point I don't wanna play anymore i was so interested in trying out new stuff they made it soo empty & bleak all they needed to do was bring back all removed squads ta nks & vehicles re roll events that people missed out on like paratroopers & kai chi hai tanks etc all the stuff people never got to try looked really fun i just want to know how it feels like & since you said we can only use our premium squads for a limited time wtf i know you purchased premium squads & tanks what a joke this company is becoming & since you warned us not to buy anything on the merge good on you becuase we should all just boycott the hell out of this company now

Even now everything is this video is true, especially the cheaters. You cant build a rally point without a cheater killing it from across the map threw solid walls and the same with people having hard time on cap point's getting killed the same way.
Enlisted has to many irritating flaws that need to be fixed before it should have been lanched and therfore sadly i think it aint gonna come a rush of so many new players to this game. I have prayed enslisted for a month and a half and boght several packages at the berthday sale and i almost regret it.
the worst update.. i basically quit playing as it has become more complex than my work.. i have to calibrate each weapon to what map i ll play and i have to now get some stupid tanks in maps that never existed. things were fine.. easy balancing changes could have been done without this overengineered nonsense

This upgrade is a joke. Except it is not funny. All my progress is gone. What a way to "reward" loyal players who've been powering this game for years and putting up with all the problems!
