Great Show fellas, unfortunately missed the live. 40 year Master automotive tech here that also details. Many cars require higher grade fuels due to higher compression ratios. without these higher grade fuels these engines detonate and ping. causing damage and lower engine life expectancy. So going cheap will cost you in the long run as well as these engines that need the higher grade fuel will get way worse mpg meaning more fuel fill ups and more time at the pump as well as at the repair shop. There is a reason I have $100K invested in Quality tools. Nope and none of them are harbor freight. As far as what I think when i hear the word "Cheap" I think of the word low cost garbage. Something that's cant be good or quality. There is a difference between inexpensive and cheap. you can have something that may have a great cost to use ratio. it saves you something, be it time or creates better quality. this is a way something is less expensive and quality. Products that are cheap usually cost you time and efficiency, and quality work done. While the bottom line is important in business so is doing a job right the first time or more efficiently. Time is the one resource you cant make more of. Cheap Work and cheap products and tools gets you cheap prices and cheap customers that are more trouble then they are worth. Always wanting perfection for the bottom dollar. I have a great topic for you guys sometime. Always enjoy you guys when your on!
Cost of use and cost of purchase are 2 very different things. Often the more “expensive” product actually cost less to use. 😊POPS needs to be on the show more often.

so ummm. we LOVE y'all so dont take this the wrong way..... we need more POPS! hahaha. Thanks for blessing us with this episode guys. so we gotta ask, whats in the bags?
Jum...firsts....great content and God bless pops....second I think a better question is When are you going to stop being cheap? Because if you are starting you start with the budget the you have at hand example Harbor Freight tolls....but then you find succes ....and I still see you going Harbor Freight? Buying the same buffer(Rotary polisher) instead of buying a Dewall or Makita?....other thing and most important is the Standard for your business.....example you have to leave space for grow not only the person managing the business but the business itself and the only way is having Top notch tools, materials etc etc....God Bless guys and keep the content 🔥🔥🔥
Great show as always gents. My man’s over here roasting POPS 😂😂😂😂. I do have a question that’s debatable. Do you think technique has relevance to the tool being used? Again I always enjoy your content. Keep up the great work.
@ Boss, I remember you stating that once you out grow your tools you need to upgrade. To a certain extent I agree. However, as a professional, shouldn’t they be able to get the same results from a cheap tool vs an expensive one? Example, when I use to play drums in a metal band. I had the cheapest drum set but, made it sound like an expensive one based on my experience and technique. Was the experience bad? Yes sir at first. It’s also raises the question, if you purchase expensive equipment will you not have a bad experience?
Don't clown Pops😜😜😜 Thanks for your service Pops. My dad was a Vietnam veteran too. Yes, Cancun water is like in Puerto Rico but here you will see 3 to 4 colors of blue at the same beach
Cheap tools vs cheap products = throwing away $ Cheap tools will bring cheap costumers even know costumers never ask what kind of tools or products you use but they see results. Is a process to start building your arsenal and yes sometimes you need to start with a non so expensive tool and then upgrade. Once you upgrade you will see difference in quality and time saving. Also pops said smart phone are no so smart, Sal: that's a flip phone 😂
I have no problem being efficient with the products I use and I can tell you how much product I use to clean a car and it will be very close .i have no problem with the products I use in my business.today cost can make or break a business.
The products I use gets used in every section of the detailing industry.they are efficient cost effective and ready available.i read the m s d s sheets .and the ingredients.
In most instances cheap products work as good as more expensive ones.most products are made in china in the same factory to save on labor cost.i don’t support people like black rock and vanguard .supporting people’s retirement plans. My money is better in my pocket than someone else’s.
there's a difference between cheap and useless. like there's car soap for over 100$ and others that's 35 40$ that c does a better job than expensive one. There are many tools and chemicals that work great that don't cost a lot. that c doesn't mean it's cheap. get it .. of it works well not because its price. as a detailer it's hard to ask for hundreds of dollars for a full detail especially in certain areas the price can vary by over 50 percent. an average maintenence detail by me is 50 to 80$ but done detailers are asking for 200$ and then they ask me how I have so many customers. lol😅 I'm like stop trying to make 1000% profit off of your clients and then say it's because you're using a 2000$ pressure washer and polisher. noone cares what you use as long as it does the job.
You should care about what you use. there IS a difference. The reason things are cheap is because something along the line was sacrificed. Just like a cheap detailer has to sacrifice products , that cheap products & tool usage is why they are so cheap, which can and will have an impact in some way (time, performance, safety etc. ) you're right it's not all about profits, but it is a business, and it's about doing things right when it comes down to it. Cheap or expensive.
As I have said before most things are made in china .outsourced by USA companies .had you rather keep the money yourself or give it to someone else.also their are some products made in USA that use the same manufacturing company and put someone label on it .i worked for one that did that .problem is the private label product always cost more .that is my point.
And also their is no European company that can make a product and pay shipping to the USA leaving it on a ship for 69 days and be competitive with a USA company producing domestically as they are as strict as the epa in the USA .

Technique always has relevance, but at some point performance cannot match or do just to your technique. Or it will make the experience bad
