I'm a photographer. In photography, those guys that go charge $50 for a wedding or a shoot because it's their hobby and they want to fund it by charging are called "Guys With Cameras" by fulltime shooters. Also, the hobbyists love to call themselves "professional" because they got paid a few dollars for something, but "professional" has a definition, and it isn't "get a few bucks for doing a thing", the definition is literally: "engaged in a specified activity as one's main paid occupation rather than as a pastime." All that said, I don't get mad at anyone trying to start a new business. But me buying a wrench doesn't automatically make me a plumber.
Accessibility to the masses changed the landscape for quite a few industries with technological advances, I studied fine art, film exposure, development and print (both c-print and B&W) digital allowed mediocre guys to edit, shoot with guided assistance, same thing happened to DJs, anyone with a laptop now had access to software and beat matching assistance and guys were still terrible. I truly think it comes down to passion, quality and respect for whatever you do, not just in it for a quick buck! Thanks for the comment and channel support
We got the detailers, solar cleaning & trash can cleaning hustlers... can't be mad at them.. you gotta do what you gotta do to pay the bills but it does make it harder to set yourself apart from them because your detailing full time as a career/ profession
I get, you gotta get that $, just do a good job at whatever it is you do. Don't spread yourself thin trying to chase money doing low level work, that's a bad combo.
@DETAILSofficial for sure! I stick to detailing because it's all I have the energy for and I know I'll minimize the quality if I do more! Great video as always!
I would imagine the “hustle” is, at best, situational. Nothing wrong detailing as a side hustle as long as your service is professional grade. I started off as a welder/fabricator for years while doing detailing on the side. When I figured out I could make more with detailing, I was all in from that point forward. Decades later, I’m still a hustler … just more picky. 😊😊😊
I have found some disturbing thing on face book groups .people trying to do paint correction and have never picked up a polisher no training .another thing is people don’t respect a detailers time they think I could wash and sweep my car if I had the time .do it shouldn’t cast that much.
Here is a pro tip i got from experts detailers ones that at the top of the game!!!! ..... all products are exactly the same !!! 🙏🙏 it took me a while to learn this but now im a pro🙌
@DETAILSofficial game changer i mean who would've known ....tire shine or glass cleaner ? Don't matter exactly the same thing....air freshener or iron remover ? Don't matter exactly the same thing ... this has saved me so much time and money! I now ceramic coat my cars with panel prep! .... every product is exactly the same!!!
@DETAILSofficial bro whats you guys honest opinion on that i thought it was pretty wild that the so called "experts" didn't know the difference between a dressing protectant and conditioner and please don't just be nice because they are your friends !!!
@DETAILSofficial i mean honestly I think seronos mobile detailing and the house of rags should be thanking me because ultimately shining the light on the subject will make them a better detailer but instead they call me a troll but like yeezy said they wanna call you crazy when you tell the truth in a world full of lies!!!!
I just love it when you guys sit down and get down, lol.. thanks for the shout out brother i appreciate you guys ALWAYS 💙
Cebas. Its always a good time when I see you tap in. Its almost vacation time for you.
