Yup, the airport extension project was just kicking off when I was there in May 2015 for a memorial service of prominent monk Luong Por Khoon at Khon Kaen University (KKU) auditorium. Think the construction area was cordonned off but they probably hadn't dug that deep yet when I was there. Yeah, that is a huge expansion work going on there. There were lots of public donation boxes near the escalator at the ground floor that time and there were big beautiful flower decos resembling elephants on both sides flanking the grand picture of His Majesty the King Rama 9th at that time. Yup, I remember buying a metered taxi ticket to KKU at the counter on the far right side of the ground floor. It will be a nice upgraded airport once the renovation/extension project has completed. Hope to visit Khon Kean again next year once the borders have reopened.
I think there is still 2 more years before this is finished, they had problems with the blue prints at one point and all work stopped, been a very slow process.
I'm amaze that you are able to video inside an airport like that. If you are doing that here in the States, you would have been asked either to stop filming or place under arrest.... Thanks for sharing.
Around here Spokane Washington pretty well shutting the airport down just picked up my son-in-law it was pretty dead nobody went inside waited for everybody to come out because of the so called virus
Dead is the understatement, don't matter what the video is about, every video is dead, a couple of my other channels are on the way up, slowly but moving in the right direction anyway.

Good day to ya Paul. Nice airport for sure. Stay safe over there. Best wishes Bob.
Small and easy to get through, that is the best ones.

Thank you Yvonne.
I flew to Chiang Mai from there a couple of years ago
Better than driving, that is a long drive.
I like small airports. Basil is not bad. I bet its not busy now.. Is that your local Airport? All the coffee shops but can you get a cup of tea ;-)
Probably closed now, like most everything else. Normally you can get tea in the airports.

I don't think it would be a problem, everyone has a camera with them now, everyone is taking pictures and making videos everywhere.
Hi Paul , Kon Kaen appears to be growing as a regional hub into a major city .
Its a fast growing city, maybe a little too fast.

Same here, this was recorded 2 years ago.
