I started singing last year, and a few months ago my teacher, Anna Coogan, encouraged me to try recording and learn about the whole process of making an album.The very day after my 12th birthday, I had the opportunity to sing with the most incredible musicians in the most magical place (see below!). Most. Exciting. Day. Ever. I recorded these songs as a final project this year with my singing teacher and turned them into a "singathon" fundraiser for human rights. See www.canensings.com! It almost hurts my heart to hear that beautiful sound that bespeaks of sorrow and loss coming from such a young, yet extremely talented, girl that can't possibly have experienced such feelings. While I am absolutely mesmerized by her voice, I experience serious cognitive dissonance when listening to her.
