I started singing last year, and a few months ago my teacher, Anna Coogan, encouraged me to try recording and learn about the whole process of making an album.The very day after my 12th birthday, I had the opportunity to sing with the most incredible musicians in the most magical place (see below!). Most. Exciting. Day. Ever. I recorded these songs as a final project this year with my singing teacher and turned them into a "singathon" fundraiser for human rights. See www.canensings.com! Old beautiful and gifted soul for certain!
Ever since I heard her render "Ain't no sunshine" I simply can't stop listening to it obsessively all through the day.
I was born in 1959 so for me it's just music from those times...
What an incredible voice. I'd love to hear her sing Petula Clarke's Windmills of your mind n the other beautiful songs from the 50's n 60's.
There's something so special about her and her captivating voice. I know there's a place reserved for her right at the top amidst the stars 😊

Grossly overlooked and underrated at that time, still overlooked and underrated today. Perhaps because of the social-media and the later musical trends or whatever else. These records will be pure gold one day. Keep a good hold on them and the royalties.

I can't explain the 'feel' I get from your singing - it's you 'get' the song - the music , the words, the writer(s) and you then convey all this to the listener. It is like being in that place when the work was first created. Such soulful artistry.

i just watched this interview, you said " i don't know if this is what i want to do yet", true you are still young and life is full of hope and dreams and experiences that will blow your mind, love loss, and everything in between, however with a GIFT like your voice and the soul you have, isn't "normal" to our millenial generation. you don't just sing and it sounds good, i actually feel the jazz and soul in you, it feels like you are singing as though you have lived a previous life, and this is your story, honestly i am not bigging you, up if you knew me, i rarely make possitive compliments, about people in anything and as a fellow musician ( blues rapper and gospel, rock) i i think you have what it takes to take this generation by storm and conquere it but that doesn't mean you cannot be a rocket scientist, or engineer or geneticist, it just means what ever you end up doing, this is definitely a GIFT and i would wish you continue to share it with us :) i will be following your progress, and when you release your album that you write your own songs i will buy it ,

I like the tempo of this arrangement better than almost every other version. Most seem like they are in a hurry to get the song over with. This is a love song. Love songs are supposed to seduce. That takes skill, control, patience and of course, that voice.

Imagine this young lady being YOUR daughter. Me? I would die. Resurrect, die and resurrect again and then use that experience to do it again every time she sang like this. The pride for her level of talent would be way too much to handle. I'd have to keep coming back to hear more.
Among her various songs and videos, she has literally millions of views. And here she is saying she doesn't really know what she wants to do with her life yet, but this is at least "more than just a hobby". Yes, my dear. Hef voice is melifluous, she plays it like an instrument and the music sails, envelops and suffuses... a rare blend of sensations that manages to reach our hearts and souls. With careful coaching she must ensure sufficient exposure to share her rare gift and allow it to grow and expand; while safeguarding her right to a constructive adolescence and all its public and private experiences and moments... A tall order of exception which is hers for the wanting. We - whom she has already conquered - will have to wait and sharpen our desire to be part of her awaiting career and success; safe in the knowledge that she will drip share her talent until she is ready to launch! Such a bright prospect... well worth waiting for... 👏👏👏
