You need to see the rest of the songs he plays... I think is unfair.. I really like his cowbell.. Its just the right balance!

Well, this is only half of the performance, it's missing the entire first half, which is more of a batá thing, so people are missing out on how complex and tightly arranged this really is as a composition, it's fairly proggy! Missing Alvaro already, the bomba sections are not as forceful as they once were. I guess the new bassist is still adapting, but his tone is lacking a bit. Also amazing how much this has evolved from the album version: the conga solo and interlude was in compound time and here they play it in 4/4, it's interesting.
Yeah I was surprised to see a diff. Bass player.
I was just thinking last night how telepathic of a thing Pedrito has with him and Jhair.

. It's actually common to sit on a cajon whilst playing convos, especially in a percussion heavy group.
Why would they start recording half way through the tune and then post it on youtube? They probably captured the entirety of other tunes, so why post this?

Pantoja en el piano SI VA, te parece malo este tema arreglado con el estilo de Ruben Blades y seis del solar. Ariacne, Axel, Pantoja, cada uno tiene su estilo muy respetable. No cualquiera puede jacer parte de la alineación de Pedrito Martinez. Este grupo se encuentra en otra etapa ahora.

One of the worst things to ever have been discovered by Latin music was the awful brass keyboard patches. They're really popular, and I can't understand why. It usually kills my enjoyment of the music.
These guys rock, though. Tons of energy, and lots of fun to watch.

La pianista Ariacna y el bajista venezolano, tenían más peso,y el teclado de arriba,necesita sonido más reales ,pedrito y jair los mejores
El bajista es Cubano.
Salsa Blanca se que es cubano, no por eso tiene el mismo peso que tiene el venezolano

Too much music and too little for the public to digest and actually enjoy. A pity, because they are clearly very good musicians, but lacking the 'commercial sense'. Not a problem if they are happy without ever becoming famous or wealthy. Great performance!
