I just bought the same board (Anti Hero BOZO deck, but same exact size and wheelbase). I can't wait to see you skate it dude! I normally skate the DLX 8.5x31.8 with a 14.25 wheelbase, I'm not sure how much I'll love or hate this one 😅
I’d try it. 14.25” wb with Indys and 14” wb with ventures are basically identical axle-to-axle wb. I prefer my trucks/wheels a bit tucked, but up to .25” over is fine
This board size with 149 thunder trucks is the most perfect board setup I've ever had! On my 6th deck now. I have to search all over to find them though!
I was riding a 14 inch wheelbase. Was so much fun 👌 then i switched from a 14 inch wheelbase to 15 inch and it was like learning to skate from scratch 🙈 next board will definitly a 14 inch again 💪
I have a Girl Board that’s 9.00 in egg 🥚 with a 13.75 wheelbase, 32. Length. It’s sick. That board you just set up, All the Deluxe Brands have it, Real has them and Anti Hero too, In all honesty it’s Nice 👍 and snaps fast, 💨
I’ve been riding that true fit shape through a few diff boards and love it, grabbed that geering for the future cause the shorties sell out. I’ve got slim hips and shoulders and the short boards skate a lot easier.
didn't seem to be marketed but creature a few seasons ago had a series called "stubbs" which had even shorter wheelbases than the "stumps": 8.25 - 13.5wb 8 - 13wb which is a current santa cruz shape as mentioned in another comment 7.75 - 12.75wb i wish they had a 8.25+ with 13.25wb🙏
I’m riding one right now and it is LIFE CHANGING. I’ve always loved wide boards but any past 8.6 always felt too much. All my Tre flips turned into 270 flips, getting on taller ledges felt way harder etc. but it turns out it was just the wheelbase being too long. I picked up a 9 inch wide stump board and everything clicked. It’s the perfect size for me.
Hey, man. How’s it going? Bro, what shoe size do you wear? I’m asking because I have big feet (11.5) and I’m currently using an 8.125 deck with 139mm trucks, but I didn’t feel comfortable with that size. I’m thinking of trying an 8.375 deck and 149mm trucks, as I think that would be perfect for my size.
I can distinguish the front and back trucks on my thunders cause they say “Team” on one of the baseplates. Kinda like I got the “Team” on my back lmao.
4:08 I just realized this the other day. Ya know how people will have a strip of their griptape missing on one side of the deck longways. I never see the strip down the center longways; which would help with griptape fingers when throwing down. My first small wheels ever were Boardycakes. I'm going to order some. I used to skate 14' wheelbase, and when I started skating again I didn't know wheelbases went up to14'.25". Assoon as I went back to 14' everything started to come back. I think for street 14' or smaller. Everyone is surprised by the pop my board has. I tell them 14' wheelbase and a B.B.S. deck (harder). Thanks!
You might want to pick up an axel re-threader from ACE or a homie that has an extra one from a set of Ace AF1s so you won't have fear of stripped axels anymore. I believe all of the axel threads are the same pitch between truck companies, but could be wrong...
I thought about it but since these ones are wide they line up pretty good. I could also put double washer on the inside of trucks to help poke them out too
I want skate brands to list width over trucks and I want truck manufacturers to list the effect on wheelbase... Meaning + or - however many inches effect on the wheelbase. 14.25" wheelbase with Venture versus 14.25" with Indy is different so they should list that shit.
Before I forget to say this: really gripy griptapes suck! I’m a gripy vulc shu skater and double too gripy is just silly gripy, too much. Be aware kids!
does any one else have trouble with the pepper grip, because i do... after about 3 seshs, it doesnt seem to have a good grip anymore.. i perf the Bro style grip, which is a branch off to (mob grip) and i like to with some other brands aswell, like Diamond, Jesse up, Shake junt and i sometimes mess with the Grizzly grip. but (Mob Bro Style) is probably my personal fav kind of griptape.
i'm pretty partial to jessup. it's not too grippy, it stays pretty consistent, it doesn't peel up on the edges. i'm a creature of habit, if i find something that just works well i stick with it.
Best way I've found to poke the hardware holes is do a tiny hole from the bottom then a full size phillips screwdriver and twist it from the top

Nice! We are both in it together!
Me 3!!!
Thought, after a month?
This was a dope video and setup. DLX 4 life
The primitive P-rod twin nose has a 13.75 wheel base. 8.25 with mag lights feels like you are flipping an 8 but with a little more board for control.
I' setting up an antihero with these exact specs tomorrow!🥰🥰🥰 called the ten curbmandments
I’d try it. 14.25” wb with Indys and 14” wb with ventures are basically identical axle-to-axle wb. I prefer my trucks/wheels a bit tucked, but up to .25” over is fine
I've been drilling wheelbases shorter on my boards and it's great! started doing it to new decks recently... those true fits aren't always available.
Nice! And I know it’s hard to find true fits!
Good for Venture and Thunder trucks.
Yooo hair is looking good bro
Thanks yo !
Looks rad. I usually am on 14.75 krooked.

Yeah 15 is huge and a big adjustment for popping
@@spencernuzzi I think a bigger adjustment will be the step back to have the tail hit basically twice as fast when popping 🙈
14" wb with indys is a little squirrely for me, good for treflips and hardflips. or anything that spins/rotates. just feels kinda small for me at 6'3
Im going up to an 8.5 from a 8.25 , and want a slightly shorter wheel base ! I appreciate your input , and skating !

How about a reissue of the nuzzi slip with a rubber toe cap?
If we can get some funding to get then remade would be dope !

I think I found 8.25 with 14 inch is my sweet spot lol.

@@carstonmertens178I second that, 😂
I’ve been wanting to try one! They sound similar to the 9in 14wb searat I use to ride
Stumps don't go below a 14.1". They are more for people who like wide boards, but want a "shorter" wheelbase, the 8.5, 8.8, and 9 all have a 14.25 WB
Yeah, they aren’t really ‘short‘ just a bit short for the width compared to the usual

I think whoever packed your trucks gave you two different trucks.
I like wider wheels
Try adding another washer on the inside.
I just started doing that, I’m feeling it.

Nice part about radial fulls, I never have to worry about axel nut problems
Put 2 washers on the inside to push the wheel out to the end of the threads and they won't get damaged.
