If you mean a cameraman who videos the whole train, not cutting away as soon as the loco has passed, I agree. I'm interested in trains, not just engines. I always have to try to count the number of coaches or wagons.
I love this video especially all the special equipment moves especially the tube stock move keep the great content coming and also just a tip or something I would appreciate it if you would put the timestamp at which a certain fan appears in the rest as well so that it’s easier for people to navigate if they want to see what trim that was people like me who don’t know the exact timetable

I love the shot of the 153 unit and the 66 on freight , technically it’s bad luck but it’s real life , fantastic . I also like the uninterrupted view of the track work after the 20’s have exited the shot .
Looks like maybe some subsidence happening under the rails in the first clip, watch those locos lurch as the rails dip. Not like the smooth rails on the left track.

Thank you. This video was recorded with a Panasonic HC-VX870 camcorder; however, my more recent videos are recorded on a Panasonic HC-VXF1 camcorder. Both have 4K capabilities.
I've seen multi aspect signals flash red in Europe to allow for shunt movements BUT I'm intrigued about this appearing to be the case on Derby platform 2 at 3:10 especially as the path is currently being used by the 153 unit in the opposite direction! Any info would be really useful
Ellie Swinfen Generally as a rule there are no flashing reds in the uk. Flashing yellows yes and even greens on the ecml. I would suspect a power fault in this case as its an older style bulb signal rather than more modern led.

Thank you. There are numerous reasons regarding the length of trains in the United Kingdom, but companies have to work with the demand, resources and infrastructure available. For instance, many of the stations, freight terminals, sidings and passing loops are not able to accommodate longer trains.
I see. I noticed that your longer trains seemed to be a fairly standard length. That must reflect the passing loop lengths. Thank you. Enjoyed seeing such nice clean equipment and stations. Here in the US the spray paint idiots have their way with everything. It drives us nuts.
That's what I've always thought too, the infrastructure in the UK is still massively based on a network that was built well over a 100 years ago with very little change made to it and as such it's difficult to accommodate longer trains. The block signalling system doesn't help either. The newest all-new rail line in the UK, HS1, which also has the latest signalling systems, can accommodate much longer trains than the rest of the UK. And faster trains too.
I loved that short chemical train waiting on Doncaster platform 1 That train will have come from Simon Storage at Immingham. I load my road tanker there and often see them there either loading or tipping. Once the train is on the plant it is moved by a small mule unit
