I just started practicing on fake skin but just felt like I was doing something wrong... I feel a bit more confident after watching your videos and will practice again today and see how that looks/feels.
Also look into the type of fake skin, I just started too and if you haven’t try 3 mm fake skin. It retains ink so much more and looks so much better like I thought I was doing shit wrong but the skin was jus too thin bro
Appreciate the Time taken to create this Masterpiece for Most beginners whos are finding it difficult to understand other youtuber Tattooist ,who explain it in ways many cannot understand Thank you bro
Hey the way you took the time to explain everything was awesome. Also you showing the actual difference between floating the tube and not. But you should have tried to get different angles of you practicing because I couldn't quite see how you held the gun and the direction you were going to do certain lines
Hey mate great vid, I had to laugh or not, I remember actually leaving scrape marks on the wife’s skin as I rode the tube. No I didn’t get a back hand! I agree also that the ink drains out the cartridge unnecessary onto the skin. Once I became confident with needle hang I also found that i was able to see the stencil easier and make small adjustments along the way. Keep up the great vids bro 🤙🇦🇺 P.s love the green and black color scheme...sick as shit!
Thank you for your support and feedback bro! I appreciate you. Haha I remember the days where I road the tube. I feel confidence plays a big role on how our tattoos are going to come out and look. How do you feel you’re doing now in your tattooing journey?
I learned from you to use my middle finger to push against my cartridge for stability. This works great and my linework has greatly improved! But it gets super-super messy. My finger (well glove) is always black from the ink from running over the lines that I just made. Any suggestions?
Is the practise skin designed so that it represents the epidermis in thickness? so i can actually learn how deep i should go by tattoing that instead of real skin? :) thank you for this great content!
I can pull fairly clean lines on fake skin but when I tattoo normal skin it's just doesn't look great its the only thing holding me back. I have to rely on my shading to fix every tattoo. I'm thinking I need to go deeper with my needle or real skin. Speed and voltage must be ok Coz it's good on practice skin. Maybe my strech isn't good.
Daniel, would you please make a video for me as a new tattoo artist on what the needle depth on the palm of the hand should be? I hear that palm tattoos are the most painful, yet because of the stratum lucidum & how quickly the layer of cells replaces themselves, does that mean the needle depth should be deeper on the palms, even though the pain sensors are more sensitive?
So, I have been running into issues with color. I can do lines and shading just fine but when I use COLOR ink, it is almost impossible to get it to stay in the skin. I did this awesome tattoo and it had a lot of red in it and it showed up really well until about a week after it healed it was really speckled and I had to go over it. I don't ride the tube at all and have no idea why my color is having issues. While my friend was not upset and totally understood, I felt like I was torturing her with the insane amount of passes. I'm using food equipment too, not junk from AliExpress.
My fake skin tear in line work.. is this normal in real skin too or my line work is going wrong?! If I go deep it tears apart and if I go up the line fades up.
I have a rotary pen, and sometimes I have to adjust the needle hang during the tattoo (if I've set it to hang too much or too little), and I'm wondering if there are tattoo machines that allow you to change the needle hang without taking the entire sanitation set up off of the tattoo pen (i.e. the grip tape, cover sleeve etc.). Am I setting the pen up wrong or does anyone else have this problem?
If I am understanding correctly, you are not able to adjust your needle depth on the fly when you tattoo because of the wrapping? I wrap my machine in a way that allows me to have full access to needle depth adjusting. I will link you to that video below so you can see if you can take what you want leave what you don't. Have a question , why is it when i go to dip my needle into the ink cap and go back to the skin,, the needle out of nowhere will not allow the ink to flow and ill go and dip my needle again and try once more and agin it will not flow. Ill just be poking someone but when i go and mess with the needle hang , out of nowhere it will start flowing again and sticking to the skin. I use a bishop wand packer. Hey Daniel thank you for all your videos, just wanted to ask a question, I'm having a issue with when I'm tattooing on fake skin sometimes as I'm pulling a line I find that the needle is snagging on the skin and it seems like it's skipping as I'm doing a line and I'm wondering why this could be?

question, if you go to deep and created a blow out, how long after you finished does it take before the lines bleed out under the skin, as soon as you do it, a day, week? i was wondering, thank you
My wife been practicing on me she has done 4 tattoos mediume size at first with the first tattoo she did on me at first looked like it was going to stay but than when started peeling off i seen there was some empty faded spots . Do you think the needle isnt going to deep?
Tattoo machines are very loud. It's like a shaver when a shaver makes a noise. It makes a loud noise as the machine is vibracting and the needle is moving up and down, so it's normal for it to make that much noise :)
I saw your video on TH-cam. I have a question. I only let the needle out by 2mm maximum 2.3mm. Is it okay to tattoo like this too? or am I wrong? I'm quite happy with this. the tube touches the skin like you said. Thank you. I have ez p3 pro

Can you show how you adjust the lengths/depth of needle with CNC q2? I can see you are turning the machine itself somewhere to adjust, but where exactly on the machine and how?
That machine should have adjustable length set up. I was looking into one myself and from the video it appeared to have adjustable needle length but the stroke is pre set at, well in assuming 4.0 on that model they also have the max 3.5 and 4.2 but the 4.2 may be the one u have, at least that is my understanding of it, I may be wrong but then again I may have actully understood what it was I was reading and watching.

An example Tattoo Angelo when he picked up I think a 20-60 dollar tattoo machine from wish and did a tattoo with it haha. So a dragonhawk kit will do just fine to get the hang of it. What machine is better the cnc q2 or the cnc x we?
