I love the way you made the targeting adjustment in round 4, tightening up the line once you started to see the 10 pin going late.
Your performance with a single Pitch Black, a very simple urethane ball that does nothing more than roll and provide control, is a testament to your skill as a bowler.
You were able to do everything with essentially a technological nothing and emerge victorious. Bravo!

Urethane gives you great control and lets you play front to back as well as you're able to throw it. Darren's easily one of the best in the game with urethane, regardless of brand/ball.

Congratulations on the win . It was an awesome time bowling in the pro am with you as one of the pros. Urethane balls are key for speed dom people in that house since I bowl league there Sunday nights on burned up oil with spray and prey bowlers .

Would it be possible for you to do an entire series about the mental aspect of the game? I’d be very interested in that personally as I tend to struggle with that and when I struggle mentally my physical game go off the rails as well.
I have cried a 2nd time. The happiness is astounding.

Side note, the curtain being knocked off the pit cushion at 5:32 was extremely distracting to me. Do you remember if you noticed or it affected you at all? I was a mechanic working on the A2's for over 5 years and I dont recall any of ours getting knocked off by a pin, they were pretty snug

Love seeing games on older wooden lanes. Always curious what types of ball surface adjustments the Pros make when the lane surface is so different than they are used to with synthetic.

its crazy. its like if you follow the proper progression in your ball selection (to properly move left into the oil and break it down properly) you bowl really well :). and maybe cause no one here lol. GGs

i think the heads up bracket style tournament (round robin too) is most exciting format. definitely the most competitive imo

Obviously the Team USA camp helped out amazingly well, congratulations. Quick question for you: do you think being "limited" to the Pitch Black helped you at all? I would think on one hand it would have helped you focus on adjustments like release/speed/line than fishing for the right ball, but on the other hand I can see it being an obstacle if you get in the mindset that you "can't have" the right ball -- which you don't seem to have displayed. Great work and keep it up!
