Anyone able to confirm or deny this for me. Do you have to use the approach in the PBA? Like for example, if you didnt want to walk up to the foul line. Can you just stand there and throw from there, as long as you dont cross like normal obviously. I know it would never happen, as the approach helps give you more ball speed, but I'm just curious if its a rule to use it or not?
I think some bowlers tend to think too much. Especially when it's a pro tournament. Some will over think they're way right out of it. Start pulling a different ball out every game. A lot like the game of golf, the game of bowling can mess your head up.
Scoring a 200 means breaking even. Plus or minus means how many points above or below a 200 average. In match play, at least at the ToC, a win scored you an extra 30 points per game. Those numbers can push you up higher, faster and possibly jump you into a final or at least potentially earn a better paycheck.
i don't know that i've ever seen you throw an IQ Tour or Hy-Road in tournament play recently. or a phaze 2 even. Mind if i ask why you don't ever break those kind of balls out? i know a lot of people like them.
