I hate Orcish Bowmaster being good, because I want copies of it for my amass deck, but everyone wants it for everything.
I feel that way about Shelly for my Neckusar.
It's no longer good in Alchemy - they took away the ETB trigger - the ping & amass triggers only on card draw.. Of course in arena there's no trading of cards anyway. Before the nerf I used it in Rise of The witch King deck because it was the best way to get 2 creatures for one card oin golgari - so good for sac fodder. I also used it in Nazgul deck because it was just too good 2 drop to not use.
Do you use Spiteful Hexmages in your Amass deck? Kind of like 3/2 and +1/+1 for 1 mana when you have an army out.. The army orcs and zombies actually like being cursed. :P I guess that's fairly popular card too but not as popular as bowmasters. I did burn wildcards for those in arena .. I have not made an amass deck yet though. Hexmages are also great with Braids, bargain cards, etc..

@@allanturmaine5496 It's not something that everybody want's in their decks so it could be a bargain.. Dunno if you need 4 for amass decks as you can curse the army effectively only once and it's not a good one drop on it's own but if you can turn the cursed role into value (Braids & bargains .. dunno if there's many others that benefit from saccing enchantments) it can be great and if the role is not a downside - like if you play monstrous rage on it or something it's at least OK.
@44:23 - we are Evokers and summoners ,.... when we play MAgic the Gathering.
we are summoning creatures, they have summoning sickness. We evoke things like sagas, stories of combats and beings of other worlds...
Which is why legendarys are limited on the battlefield
They can't exist at the same place at the same time
(Unless you remove the legendary tag or change a name)
@@donovanulrich348 this is why the doctor who duplicating effects create copies that are not Legendary! So we can create a duplicate Doctor and have it not kiled by the Legendary Rule !!
13 minutes in and surprised not heard one creature yet. I have a deck with it as commander and it is kill on sight. Ishai Ojutai Dragon Speaker. Course partner with Bruse Tarl makes it even better.

49:11: for a while, Arena was plagued by Cauldron Familiar+Witch's Oven decks that would stop your attack by blocking with the Familiar, then sack the familiar for a food using the oven before combat resolved (which, due to the lack of creatures on one side of the combat, completely cancels the combat such that lifelink/trample/etc don't function), then sack the food to resummon the cauldron familiar and get its "enter the battlefield" effect allowing them to just negate one of your attacks for free per oven+familiar pair on the field while dealing damage and healing. The errata is a bit clumsy, but at least means that players can't freely negate attacks with the combo.
Edit: watched the next ten seconds and saw that he addressed that. Leaving this for posterity because the timing of the "ooh, I know this one!" immediately prior to him saying it himself is amusing.
A card i recently found is "Coffin Queen" is a 3 mana 1/1 that steals creatures from any graveyard by paying 3 and tap. AND you can control that creature until you untap Coffin Qeen (you can choose not to) and if you do exile the stolen creature

Pride of the Clouds - 1/1 flyer for 3 mana that gets +1/+1 for every flying creature in play (including your opponents' creatures)
Adorned Pouncer - 1/1 double strike, eternalize as a 4/4 double strike
Crypt Rats - can deal X damage to everyone and everything
I could see a solid commander deck with Yoshimaru, Ever Faithful and Jeska, Thrice Reborn. Neither has a high base cost so commander tax doesn't hit them too hard, Jeska has higher loyalty the more times you've played a card from your command zone, and Yoshimaru has higher stats the more times you've played a legendary anything without it leaving the field. Focus your efforts too much on the dog and a cheap Jeska will drop with an absurd amount of loyalty, focus your efforts too much on Jeska and the dog will get ripped from all the times you've played Jeska with it in play, and taking on both just means that Jeska can consistently nuke your board each time she drops.

1:15:45 -- well what can it do that lawnmower elves can't?... 1. be included in standard deck. 2. Be in a deck with 4 other lawnmower elves. 3. humans gonna human. 4. druid. 5. nonelf 6. Make an opponent fed up with dinosaur decks scoop in disgust.
Eyetwich is really strong, opponents don't want to attack in to it and its great fodder for the sac draw 2 effects
me seeing judges familiar when it first released: that's an insane ability to have on a 1/1 flyer for 1.

also I built an izzet deck with delver when the second ravnica set got released. I'm pretty sure that deck made a friend of mine hate both me and magic
No Serra Ascendant? Just Wow!!! Lifelink, As long as you have 30 or more life, Serra Ascendant gets +5/+5 and has flying. And only 1 CMC.

there should definitely be something to hard counter infect. this game is modeled with some of the same things from DND so why not make a card that can cure status effects in way. for example, "put a cure counter on any target." cure counters negate negative effects on a ratio of 1 to 1 (one cure counter negates any one negative effect counter). .... something like that. it would make dealing with infect more tactical
