Your cakes probably aren’t as dense and heavy it’s well known that a cake has these in them And customers aren’t mad they simply remove the tier and cut as such

It doesn't take long at all....maybe 5 mins per color...the border took about 20.

I love the cake, but I would have trimmed in edible jewels, not gold. To me the gold trim totally ruined it for me
