I really wanted to have the thumbnail be just "Yes" but as the answer was a tiny bit more nuanced than that we've ended up here, but one day that will be needed and that'll be a good day for me. Anyway, I was going to say it was a surprise it's taken so long for me to play this monarchist path again, but then I realized. Oh no, it isn't. Whoops.
I think a reason for removing monarchist sympathizer might have something to do with the fact that many of those generals came from the soviet civil war. It would just be like "oh ya those people we fought against and destroyed ya I just randomly support them now"
Last time I played Russian civil war I ended up with 0 generals, only White Fields which is ridiculous because new generals still costed around 70 command power
i got confused at first when i saw the title cause the zemsky sobor was not a soviet thing but an imperial russian thing so i thought it was gonna be a video about going communist as the russian empire for some reason
Gotta love PDX having parts of their focus tree paths broken and never fixing them, because all they focus on is the wacky monarchist trees that most TH-camrs love and play to death.
3:48 i disagree the German civil war is perfect the way it is, because having to fight a civil war where by the time its over the 2nd world war has already started. Also Germanys is easier because you don’t have to push across Siberia with no supply Instead of nerfing Germany, buff the provisional government
Germany is insanely easy and buffed. You don't have to make any preparation. Just one day Msckenson woke up from his bed and "you know what? Lets f*ck nazis" this is ridicilous Also like he says Germany's repair boost gives you more consumer goods penalty and actually Germany is already insanely op country repair itself before reach focus. So yes Germany needs to nerf
@@doctorwhat779 Disagree, since the game heavily relies upon Germany's actions to generate tension and conflict, you need them to get through the civil war quickly, and regain their strength fast afterwards, or otherwise the game outright breaks to the point of becoming a total snoozefest.

Still not fixed... I usually use the fascist Russian path to speed up my expension in the west. It also allows you to join the Axis without the Berlin-Moscow-Axis focus, good relations fully suffice to join them. Later in the game I do the Third-Rome and flip it fascist for a cool black third-Rome flag. Sad that its so useless, one would have expected more.
The best way I found of doing the non-communist Russia is to actually go democratic. The game doesn't want you to, and has no actual path for it, but you can. Ban fascism as soon as you can. Only do the civil war tree up to Unification of the Exiles, then go full onto the right part with the Article 124 and down even before the civil war begins. Don't pick the Chita decision. Trigger the war through paranoia going over 90%, best way is to get it to 60% and then wait for Stalin to do the Terrorist Center focus. You get a random spawn for your capital, which can potentially be right next to Moscow (I once spawned in Nizhniy Novgorod for example, which is damn close). With this path, you can start the civil war in the summer of 36 and potentially win it before spring of 37 (though this one's down to luck and exploits, still, most of the time I managed it in autumn of 37 at the latest). You skip the entire left side of the political branch of the tree while moving ahead with the other half, so Zemsky Sobor doesn't take half a year to get to. You get all the monarchist focuses but a democratic tension limit and alliances. It's still significantly shittier than any of the communist paths, but it's better than non-aligned or fascist.
I can't seem find any information about it but has anyone else encountered a "military coup" event in USSR after Beriya comes to power due to Stalin's assasination? And then a general "Kuzma Galitsky" comes to power. I never ever saw it before and I can't find any info on him for hoi4
I think random generals were able to become leader through some paths. There was even a wacky way to put a spanish volunteer general in charge of soviet union.
I once did the tsarist civil war and managed to get blessed by the hoi4 gods and the only general that detected was zhokov (not sure if that's how to spell it)

For some weird reason if you go monarchist as Germany or Russia, Poland will invade Lithuania for no reason even with historical on. This and/or UK will declare war on Norway/Sweden.
there is focus at lithuanian focus tree which ask soviets "hey, can I get vilnus when you guys split poland into two" but when Soviets or Germany goes unhistorical it just turns a wargoal agains Poland. So probably Lithuania used it, capitulated and lost some states. Idk why but Poland always took a few states and left Lithuania alive
@@doctorwhat779when world tension is high enough Lithuania justifies on Poland for wilno. Idk why Lithuania is left alive, but if Germany invades, it takes the states that Poland doesn't. Master impact basically just reduces the autonomy of puppet states automatically. Its a positive thing to have if you use puppets.

I mean, can't you just take the war goals and dismantle the faction, then do the Berlin Moscow axis?
Sure, but at that point you may as well just join the Axis and justify wargoals. It doesn't make it look any better.

Not really since it lets you join the Axis, meaning youre free to expand everywhere besides West.
Hi Bubbles. Is the right oppozition still the best path? Considering you no longer can get under 10% consumer goods no matter what you do...
