If you hold your key guide at a 45° angle facing up, it will make it easier and more accurate when setting the distance of the block
Yes and I tried that. Unfortunately, the probe and cutter won’t reach the bottom part of the key. I meant to extent the key blade over the top so it will cut from top to bottom .
Lol, You scared me I watched this video as a refresher, been four or five years since I cut one. It’s the only blank I have but I just tested it. It works fine. Thanks for the refresher video. Do you have any on the programming?

Nice video, remove the nuts and just use the black handles that came with the machine I had issues with that part of the sitting up until I figured that out

Everytime I do this it seems like there's a 1/16 inch difference between the tracer and cutting bit

I got a question I did duplicated a key for a crv but it won’t turn the ignition but the original it does turn it but I have the same bite
Sometimes when the clamp is over tight it goes crooked at end tip of the blade. It goes sideways. That makes it not turn the ignition cylinder .

I have a similar Honda key. Where I can cut the duplicate? I stopped at HD, they said they don't do Honda keys. I just need to cut, no programming is needed.
Ace hardware do cut and program. Or find a local local most around or look on Facebook marketplace
I saw that you put something under the key, what is that for?
So it won’t sit too low. If it sits too low, the top layer gets flat/flush on the holder. It will cut the holder.
Great videos! Just got the same machine. Tried to cut my house key #68 and HY17 ( Hyundai key), cut 5 key total and none of it work. Just wondering what bit do you recommend using for both? Salamat po!

@@RPdesign71 mahirap talaga pag house key. Kc hindi sya made for that kind. “Laser high security @ type key sya. Tulad sa video ko. Yung flat parang pang honda.
MAs maliit na bit and probe, MAs accurate . Kaso, dapat dahan dahan. Kc madaling maputol. Yung bit at tracer dapat match ang size
@@autopurlieu I was able to make two house key :). Tried to make HU100 key for Chevy Cruz ( laser cut), wasn’t successful full. Felt like the bit was worn down. Cuts were not smooth. I’ve only done about 10 keys on this bit, how long do they last? Thx
@@RPdesign71 depends on how you use it. You must cut it slowly a little by little so it won’t worn out easily . And maybe replace the cutter with better quality . China made kc
Wish you could have shown setting the machine up, I think you have to do a few tweaks to it before using it
I barely use this manual machine now but once in a while I use it .
The most critical part is to set the level tip of the both cutter and the other tip level.
Maybe I’ll make a quick video how I do it
