Ground pounding does 2 damage to bosses in this game, meaning you can skip the final phase of every fight. Also you can repeatedly jump on bowser jr. after getting the first hit
Who else was they only one who got completely thrown of guard when they fought masked Bowser Jr for the first time. How was I meant to know he'd go into his shell when I try and jump on him?
To be honest new super mario bros. Came out before super mario galexy 2 so that one boss isn't a copy of another boss from a different version sequel of a game that came to be years after .
I had the game too I lost the game, I had 2 games by me A year later, someone found the other game: Mario vs donkey Kong: mini land mayhem I looked at the custom stages, when I found the level: all in 1, I knew it was my game.
I'd have just lumped all Bowser Jr fights into one entry and then gone after the 9 bosses. And I will not have a bad word said about my boy Mummy Pokey! Trying to beat that fecker with Mini Mario or Luigi was an absolute arse ache.
4:39 It's kind of weird that world 5 tower is a lot easier than that of world 4 in all aspects. Not only is the Bowser Jr. battle harder in world 4, but also the tower stage itself with that rising lava. When I played it for the first time it made me think that the swampy waters in the forest were actually boiling because of that lava Speaking of Bowser Jr. battles, those of worlds 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6 (first tower) are probably the only bosses you can beat without moving, by just throwing fireballs at them. Same with the first Bowser. Nine fireballs in just one or two seconds, and they're done for 9:28 That Mummipokey is a hell of a boss when you have to defeat it being tiny Mario. I don't know why they made world 4 so hard. Well, it's actually not that hard, but it's substantially tougher than worlds 3 and 5 (except for stage 3-3 maybe) 11:40 This battle gets a lot easier if you defeat giant Bowser first with fireballs, therefore preventing him to become mad. Then Bowser Jr. is a piece of cake 13:30 Well, NSMB came out four years before SMG2, so we could say the opposite, SMG2's Lakithunder is based on that of NSMB BTW, what of the Bowser Jr. battle in world 6's second tower? I'd probably place it one stage over its analogous battle in world 8's second tower, since it features lava, a tilting platform and lava bubbles at each side of it

in the beta versions of new super mario bros, you were able to use a mega mushroom on castles. and what would happen if you would hit the mega goomba with the mega mushroom you mask ask? it instant kills the goomba

Out of all of the New Super Mario Bros games the first one is, my favourite. It has original bosses. It's the most challenging game. What's your favourite New Super Mario Bros game though?
Either New Super Mario Bros DS for the nostalgia and original bosses, or New Super Luigi U for it's unique style and difficult levels. But if I had to choose I'd say New Super Mario Bros DS is better.

For some reason in my game during the Monty Tank fight it always softlocked during the animation where the tank goes nuts and shoots bullet bills everywhere, I always ducked and stayed in one place and never got hit but sometimes the game would softlock where the going crazy animation would never end, and it stopped shooting bullet bills so I could only just wait for the time to run out. Weird

You can still jump up there without Bullet Bills and this time, use a ground pound. This bypasses the third phase and defeats him.
