As always an interesting book 👏🏻this is particularly true in our hard pandemic time. We should understand that life can be a lot worse. Thanks!

In 1880th years Zola traveled across France. He visited a poor rural district of the country to observe the living and working conditions of striking coal miners. Germinal is a result of that experience. So this story is completely realistic. The life of workers was difficult without any hope for a "light future". But ideas for a new life began to germinate. Thank you! IT's nice choice

Thank you for the information! This book reminds me Les Miserables from Victor Hugo.

I liked it! Thank you. I’ve just read Germinal. And you described this book 👌 . Zola excellently showed communication between different people , philosophy of class conflict, and seeds of new life (Germinal). Bravo. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🧡

Hi! This book is still familiar to me from your video. But it must be interesting. I read half of the Strugatsky book, Monday starts on Saturday. It was your recommendation too. I can't keep up with you 👏👏👏

Thank you for the book! After your video, I have made up that Revolution should happen this year that we understand how we have lived well for previous years. It's a joke

Well done! It’s gloomy book. 😭😭😭I wanted that Katherine and Ettienn would make a family, but she passed away in a mine. 🥲 too many people died. Why must new life build after a
    catastrophe?

I was rooting for them the whole book, and it was disheartening to see her die in the end

@@vovashko Never ever expect a happy ending when you're reading Zola 😄. His main characters always get dragged through the dirt. I'm surprised that Etienne made it to the end lol. Great review!

Good job 👍 unfortunately, modern miners live in poverty . they work more easy , but a mine remains a dangerous place.
