    👏👏👏 The book became classic. Dr Cialdini is an expert on negotiation, influence, and compliance. First of all, his work addressed to people who work with other people. I support your choice. It's a great recommendation.

    I heard about this book. The author described some principles of persuasion, groupthink. But I haven't read it yet. Thank you! You made a good review.

    Thank you for your presentation! I think that the book is provoking, because the author has described the psychological tricks behind getting people to agree with you, your view, offers and etc. The manipulating look like a white lie. It’s not completely frankly . But , in example, it may save lives . It’s interesting for me and I’ll read the book .

      Unfortunately, we cannot count on equality of interest in financial affairs and political... So, Manipulating as Influence is an important weapon or tool for success.

    • @vovashko
      @vovashko  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Manipulations are for sure important tool in the communication especially on a professional level, even though it may sound awful, but sometimes we are not even paying attention to those tricks.

      Yes, we meet manipulators every day in family, work between colleagues and even in bus . Maybe, I want to be strong person and make my decision without outsiders influence. How to achieve this? And I want to be a perfect manipulator. 🤣👍

    Thank you!!!! It's a Great topic for discussion. There is a subtitle border between manipulation and influence or not. I think so. Influence is the process of getting someone to want to do as you want them to. As a result, influence can be for the benefit of two people. Manipulation is used over a person for your own advantage.

    • @vovashko
      @vovashko  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting thought! I think in both cases those are manipulations to certain extent . It’s more of a prejudice towards the word manipulation itself

      @@vovashko Are there concepts like fair and unfair manipulation? I accept this division and then it is easier to distinguish between influence and manipulation. But roughly this one and the same tricks for obtaining the desired result.I have to read, I'm confused, sorry.

    Do you think that if majority of the people learned the techniques of influence, then the method would no longer works because each of the negotiators will know what the other side wants?. 🤔

    • @elennagut5691
      @elennagut5691 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's an interesting question. There is a book Spy Secrets That Can Save Your Life by Jason Hanson. He wrote some tactics of the CIA. I advise everyone to read.

    • @vovashko
      @vovashko  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think a lot of principles discussed in here are working on a subconscious level, so you gotta be extremely careful to catch all of the times those techniques intentionally or even unintentionally used on you. So I don't think that awareness of them eliminates the chance to be tricked.

    Hi, Vova! Do you use these tactics in your job? Do they really work ?

    • @vovashko
      @vovashko  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hah, that's a good one. I don't necessarily use those tactics intentionally, because reciprocity and other examples are also part of our daily life, so it is hard to separate when you are using them intentionally. I would say they do work most of the times, but there is some mastery needs to be achieved before you can apply them successfully.

      I saw you. You voiced my thoughts, I also think that the book is an interesting source of knowledge, but practice and a certain innate talent are needed for this. Otherwise, you’ll be left without partners, friends and relatives. I appreciate your sincerity and answer. 🙏🙏🙏
