7 eleven owners no they dont actually take home too much at the end of all the expenses yet they can afford a luxuary car, indian owners who have sketchy side incomes

My man - you have no idea how many folks you saved by making this video. I owned a 7 eleven in the NY Tri State area and actualized numbers are actually lower than the ones you describe. You did an excellent job from the outside. Happy to speak with you further about this and provide documentation/proof of my ownership status. Got lucky in finding a buyer but one caveat to add is that the reason you see the same guy owning the business for 20+ years is not because he is raking, but rather because there is no resale value of these stores. Also, the 50/50 split is no longer in place, as the more revenue you generate, the split increases to 59/41 in favor of 7-eleven. I knew owners who had been in the game for 15+ years netting less than 1k/mo.

    59% corporate
    41% for you profit.
    Payroll 25%
Stock , lost missing items , pay roll caps even as the franchisee.
A store doing less than 1,000,000$ yearly GROSS (which is low for a 711) is negative. Even with 70 hours a week. 2.2 mill and up you can get your profit at maybe 45-70k a year. Stay away from this fucking circus of a “business”. I know it all too well. It’s perfect for foreign born people that are totally fine buying themselves a job making 3-600 a week USD. No one else is desperate enough.

Nice video man. Currently in the process of building a brand new fairly large 7-Eleven Store in CT. the 50% royalty fee is accurate IF you do not own the property. If you own the property and become a franchisee of 7-Eleven your royalty split can & usually is as low at 20%. the owner operator you spoke with is absolutely right about location. if your location is in a high traffic (15,000+ Average Daily Traffic) location & you own the land & don’t rely on 7-Eleven to pay for the rent, NNN costs, etc 7-Elevens are CASH COWS. keep it up my brotha, & i’d love to see a video on liquor stores!

Very good info and honest .
I know people that own 711 and I was lookin into it
For stores that do below 1 million in gross sales
It’s very hard to be away and make money most people work there every day .
However 711 pays rent and property tax and if there is gas they only pay 2 cents .
The reason why Indians dominate 711 because many of them owned more than one store and employe family members and sometimes they employ Indians fresh out of the boat who’s come to America on student visa or visiting and the tend to stick around and don’t go back .
I personally think 711 not worth the time unless the location is good and could generate over 1.5 million in a good area where there is no crimes and people stealing All the times .

That is not what a franchisee makes at 7-11 man. I know because I worked one and handled the money breakdown. It's more realistically around 80 gees with a franchisee salary of 26 gees. That's 106 a year. The 80 is your 50%, so the total profit would be 160 gees. The business thing they asking about is businesses that would be in direct competition. You can't have a competing interest within 3 miles of a 7-11.

Other than that, you have to look at monthly revenue at whatever location you are looking into. You shouldn't do the deal unless the spot is at least 100,000 a month.

We own two 7-Elevens, the 50% fee is the worst thing possible. They both do more than 2 million in revenue but what you take after all the costs is nothing. One of our private convenience store only does 800k in revenue but we get 4 times more money due to margins being higher and no franchise 50% fee.
Also you have to buy inventory stuff through
7-Eleven which is marked up much higher than you buying at a wholesale or other places. Margins are low and the franchise fee is big. 7-eleven makes money from wholesaling stuff too you also.

    • @LandoSuccess

That 50/50 split isn’t that bad, what I thought at first, then you said if the store exceeds expectations they can raise that fee! Unreal! 🤯🤬 It’s like they don’t want you to make money and just keep you in the middle. So yeah I think if you really love it no matter what, you’d be ok running it.
