Content like this is doing a great service to the weightlifting community. I think everyone likes to watch the training, but to get the more full story behind the athletes we see connects us more deeply to the amazing lifts we see.
I’m so proud for these guys, no matter what results they show, they always bring proudness and glory for our multinational country. They both are Olympic Champions (Ruslan & Akbar) and world record holders. For country like us is very important to show and scream out loud our name Uzbekistan 🇺🇿
They will be remembered for life cos we don’t forget our pride worldwide

This video/documentary made my freaking month! Shit maybe year! By far my favorite lifters right now are Nurudinov and Akbar. Both so strong and such nice technique. Nurudinov seems like a really fun dude to be around but I can relate more to Akbar as he seems more introverted like me. Either way, THANK YOU for making this. I liked the video and will be buying some straps and another item for some support.

I really enjoyed this and Ruslan's character and personality emerges clearly. if I could make a small point, some of the translation into English is a bit unclear. if you were to improve it, it would reveal quite a bit more , because it loses the flow a little bit. this is a small point however, it is a really good video. Finally, it would be great to see a video or an extended feature on Akbar Djuraev.
Agreed, I missed the part where they were talking about Marcin Dolega at the Olympics. I had to guess who they were discussing.

Скажу честно я Руслана узнал после 16 того года золото олимпиады ему только респект и уважуха не какого негатива даже если не будет золото в Париже хотя очень хочеться чтобы получилось и стал двухкоатным чемпионом. Но он всё что может и нужно одному чемпиону он завоевал !!!! 👏👏👏👏

Can someone who knows the language explain the alternating between Oleksiy and Alexey? Like the channel name is Oleksiy and pages like wikipedia list Oleksiy, but very often in the videos, either people on the videos, the captions or the text in the description calls Torokhtiy Alexey. Is it a common nickname for Oleksiys or an equal "replacement" name?

Нашёл небольшую неточность в англоязычных субтитрах. На 21:37 Руслан сказал, что перед соревнованиями в Алма-Ате весил семь двести. В субтитрах указано 97,200, но Руслан выступал в категории 105кг. В начале ролика как раз вспоминали борьбу Руслана, Давида и Ильи в 2014 в Алма-Ате. Поэтому я думаю что в субтитрах должно быть не 97,200, а 107,200. И как следствие на 21:52 и 21:59 - 106,200 и 105,800. Ошибка в субтитрах наверное произошла из-за того, что Руслан перед этим вспоминал соревнования в Париже, которые были за несколько лет до этого. В Париже он выступал в категории 94кг.

I’m not knocking him he’s obviously a great lifter, even though he and every other top lifters blatantly continue to cheat. I’d be extremely naive to think this sport will ever be a clean one taking into account the nations taking part

Very good edit quality video but i am not interesting in guys who got tested positive for drugs...i want to see a trainig progress of a natural athlete...its so sad how all athletes are cheating byt taking drugs that destroy thir health becuase they do not know how to make a sufficiesnt training programme with natural process....if you remove drug form their body they will not even able to lift 50 % of what they lift with drugs...its so sad watching all athletes cheating taking medals and then remove it form them after re-analisys of samples...This is not an Olympic Sport at alll we are watching chemical enhanced athletes...this is not sport...The tests are simply a joke anyone can pass them..This is very sad
He tested positive for turinabol in 2012 olympic games and he is still competing ? This is a joke...When somoene is tersting positive he should be banned for life...cause drug will always be inside his muscles.You think a natural guy can not beat anabolic steroids guy ? Well he can but when you are natural it takes way longer to progress in strength compare to non natural guy
A natural lifter will NEVER be able to beat someone on gear dude. And everyone else is on gear at the professional sport level. Anyone who has ever owned a world record or competes as a world class athlete is on gear. This is not about sports so much as it is political
@@schinza Wrong ! a natural lifter can beat roided athletes it just needs correct recovery and specific training with max attempts and repetitions but progress is way slower when you are natural so you need years perhaps to achieve what a roided guy can do in a month...i am natural lifter and i can squat 210kg with jsut 5 months of non stop training and deadlift 240kg...and my strength is increasing every month....Its so disqustng watch roided athletes compete...for me these are not athletes they are just psih of shit cheaters who are just part of a political game as you said...
