- After teasing it many times in my recent lives, here is a first look at what could be in my very large Harry Potter haul! This is going to be a journey and will take time to sort out, but I can't wait to share it with you!

while these 2001-2003 lego Harry Potter sets have a pretty nice charm to them, the late 90s to early 2000s for lego was a period of near stagnation, were the builds were much worse than they had been, due to large pieces (that you find on old Harry Potter especially) and multiple other reasons. The builds in the early 80s, 20 years before the 2000s were much better than they were. 2004 definitely turned it around.

So much Harry Potter nostalgia!! Hoping it’s 99.99% complete! There’s a good chance considering the condition of the instructions! Can’t wait until part 2!
It’s looking promising. Though I have to say the there are definitely some figures missing. But we’ll see

Wow, that is a lot of vintage sets. It is like opening up presents. Will be waiting to see how the sets come together but nevertheless lots of fun seeing all those instruction books.
There’s some interesting sets in there and some which I would love to be reissued like the shrieking shack for example. I hope everything is in there and look forward to seeing the upcoming videos on these sets.
This brings back memories and makes me want to get my tub out and start rebuilding alle these sets. However, my house is now so full of LEGO that I don't have the space to display them all. I think I need a bigger house! LEGO addict indeed. :D
So true! When I bought this last year I had only just started recollecting, now it finally got to my house I have a room full of Lego and space issues XD

It was definitely worth taking the risk buying all these sets! I hope they are complete or just missing elements that can be easily replaced! Looking forward to the update !!
Nice haul! Most instructions look really crisp, so hopefully they were equally careful with the Lego itself. If you can find the 2nd basilisk tooth, it would be very nice. I bought that set with the teeth missing, and it costs a lot to get new ones, so I may just put small white barbs or other color swords in there for the time being. Stickers on my hogwarts express set (the ones on the train station bricks) are also poor condition. From the ones you just bought, I am still missing knockturn alley, merpeople, horntail, marauders map and shrieking shack. Am checking martkplaats regularly for those :-) Can't wait to see the sorting and building videos!
Great vid - I really hope the sets are complete as that would be ace! I picked up 4865 Forbidden Forest with box on Saturday - don't collect Harry Potter really but will fit into a forest scene for me.

This is the first video of you that I watch. But my hearth skipped a beat when you mentioned Marktplaats. It's so great to see that more dutch women are into lego's! And it's so cool that you live in England now, what a dream! I am only recently finding out that I share this interest with other adult lego fans. So it's nice to have found this channel!
It’s definitely exciting to buy random lots of Harry Potter lego! I’ve done it a few times and mainly ended up with parts of the the 2018 quidditch match but have got random parts from older sets like the original chamber and secrets and diagon alley. I wonder if you would be more at peace moc-ing the original modular system than trying to rebuild it all perfectly
I think the plan for now is is to find out how complete the sets are and what is in here. I’m not sure what I’ll do with it afterwards. I don’t really have the room to display it. Time will tell…

This looks like so much fun. Hard work but fun! I’m curious about the stickers you ordered for the train set. I ordered some as well a few years ago and they didn’t come cut. I struggled with the circles. If yours come precut or you have any tips on cutting the circles please let me know.

I once bought a lot of about 240 assorted sets for £400, unfortunately there were only a handful of minifigs, turns out the seller had sold them separately :(
I learned a valuable lesson that day, always ask if minifigs are included.
Auch, that is rubbish. Luckily this one has quite a lot of the minifigures there, but I don't think I would buy a job lot like this again as there were no guarantees of what was included. When I bought this I hadn't been collecting Lego long and wasn't too aware what to look out for. It seems like I have been lucky, but I definitely don't think everything is complete.
Cool purchase! Please use unscented soap! All the horrible detergents with "nice smells" ruin your Lego. Just some soap without scent really is the best.
