Put great cosmetics into base game, so DLC is just a matter of taste instead of "ugly base model, high quality DLC FOMO" > profit for customer Amazing way to put it out there. Too sad that most AAA companies release games in 1.0 in worse quality than V Rising had when it came out into early access. 😂👌
the only reason i stoped playing this game a few weeks after early access release is the fact that i dont always have time to farm blood for the castle heart.. sometimes im away 2-3 weeks at a time and when i come back my castle is gone/decayed.. i wish there was a option for that not to happen.. or it could last for like 3-4 weeks at a time... even if it ment me playing single player.. but then i guess the bosses would be to hard.
You can customise the hell out of the game, so I'd be very surprised if you can't turn off castle decay. Obviously if you're playing on someone else's server you can't change the rules, but you can play offline or host your own server with whatever rules you want.
I played it when it was released as early access it was a great game already. Either way gloomrot update and 1.0 they added tons of QoL improvements. Itemization, customization, inventory management etc everything just simply clicks in the game, they made all the mumbo jumbo of survival open world genre far less tedious and time consuming so that you can focus on more fun mevhanics of the game. Brilliant work by devs definetly worths a revisit.
Just started a server talking to my discord friends. Most of them were like “what’s v rising?” And “mmm okay” but then as they watched some trailers and looked it up and watched my streams everybody inevitably comes around lol it’s just a ducking FUN game
I remember something being timelocked in early access which was fine if you were running a server (which ran all the time) but gamestopping if you were running on your own computer. Unless you wanted to leave it running for days in the background. Is that all sorted now?
I had a dedicated server running on my pc in the past, ran it for weeks without problems. That issue maybe came from somewhere else on your machine... windows updates comes to mind, they usually hapen during night time and restart the pc.
I played this with my sons a couple of years ago. It was fun for the most part. My biggest problem was the balancing issue. No matter how much I leveled up, I didn't feel leveled up. We never actually finished the game because of this. It became so tedious fighting off lower level bosses that were still hitting us like we were lower level, despite we were higher levels. Most of the focus for the updates shifted to PVP and that's not our jam. So, kinda gave up on it. Might go back and start a new game if they've fixed that. Right now we're doing the Hollow Halls in Enshrouded. Still loving that game, and we're wiating on a new Valheim update.
You may want to check it out again, there are permanent passive increases and vendor weapons you can buy and upgrade further tied to Rift incursions. BUT I dont know how early they are available but they dont seem to be endgame only content.
I avoided playing it in Early Access because i knew i'd just go nuts with it... and yeah. It's so skill-based and fluid, but still easy enough for beginners to pick up. PvP is super intense, and the boss fights/progression is fun, if imperfect. I'd say where this game falls apart is end-game content (there's just no point to keep playing once you've beaten everything, and most players lost interest at this point), and replayability. The latter is especially a shame, because you'll likely often start on one server, only to find that booming, populated server from a week ago has turned into a ghost town and then... wait, disconnected? Did they shut down the server? Ooof! Then you're stuck debating whether you want to go through the grind of starting all over again, or just saying that's life's way of telling you that you've wasted enough time on this game. I stopped playing last year some time... felt limited, didn't like some of what I saw. These changes seem to correct this. Interesting problem: part of me has written the game off, the other part, maybe, wants to reinstall it. Either way I have such mixed feelings about early access: seems to correct some things; seems to ruin gaming in the sense that you lose interest in some games and even whole genres.
The bigest problem i have is progression , essentialy everything is tied to killing boses (they are the ones giving you better gear and stuff ) but Im at the place where i cant craft any better weapons or armor anymore and the boss is too strong , so here I am cant get stronger because the guy i need to kill is too strong, But its a pretty good game overall
That's why the Vatican put him in the Oval Office. All of the United State's "elected" Presidents have been descended from King John of England, who was (himself) descended from "Holy Roman Emperor" Charlemagne. The Roman Catholic Church are using Liberals to create problems in need solutions. The current divisive socio-political climate, the economy and drastic decline in moral values will all be pinned on Liberals (who will be labeled as Communists) and a revolutionary change of power will occur with Conservative leaders carrying out the will of the Roman Catholic Church to "save us" from Communists. Donald John Trump will be re-installed in the White House (either by "election" or coup de tat) and then the United States will openly become the Fascist regime Liberals claimed it would be under Trump. You will see your friends, neighbors and loved ones brought out into the streets and publicly executed if they do not adhere to the will of the Catholic Church as they enforce the Jewish Talmud Seven laws of Noah in a futile attempt to create "heaven on earth". Look up Dominion Theology (the US voting machines are called "Dominion" BTW) and US Public Law 102 dash 14, along with the Noah Hide Laws. Just a heads up. Well worth the cost and well fair price for all the replayable content. Also best part is that the mtx isn't intrusive, quality of life is there day one, and relative bug free.
Wish all EA games start and end like this one.
love macs reviews... played v rising in its first EA release.
I tried PvE and it was kind of boring but im a bit weary of public PVP servers.
Man I can't wait for it's PS5 release so I can chill out and hunt bosses from the comfort of my bed
Did the price increase?
Great reveiw, just wished youdve talked briefly about all the dlcs the game has, not sure which are core to the main experience/ most fun. Which is always a big issue for me due to FOMO.
Checking it out now thx for the review
My pleasure
Ah fuck SNP joke as a Scot I loved it 😂
That Joe Biden reference and imitation was awesome 🤣
They took inspiration from legacy of kain blood omen from the 90s on pc and ps1.
Thats a good thing.
Man, these AA and Indie games are kicking ass.
It's all about the gameplay.
I hope Dark and Darker makes a comeback.
I don't have frame drops, I play on laptop. I feel the game is really well optimized
I play as a goody two shoes in every game i play so a game like this with no hero option is a no go for me, but i'm glad that at least a few good games are coming out this year.
It's a bad thing if you don't let your party goblin out once in a while.
Without hesitation, it's worth a buy. Great game!
For sure worth a buy. I payed early access 3 complete play throughs and only found 1 bug.
I was thinking of getting this to play co-op with my son, would I need to buy two copies of the game to do that?
If your Xbox you can game share, playstation does game sharing too, not sure about pc
@@fionncomiskey7975OK brilliant, thanks 😊
Does it hold up for single player?
Can i play this solo?
Yep
Is this game still good when playing solo?
Brill Game, had access since it first came out. on a side note Mac, have u been voice overing on Robin Hood Sherwood Builders, lol.
thats a really funny review. made me consider buying the game right away
THANKS BUD I APPRECIATE YOU
I watched Doomsday Blue because of you Mack and I'm not sure I'll forgive you. The shocking thing is that she's clearly a capable singer, and the lyrics aren't too bad in the chorus where you can understand them, but she's a massive drama queen and appears to be a wannabe goth who thought Marilyn Manson was better than Robert Smith.
When you say its a great game, i know its going to be truly pure fun unlike other reviewers who might say a game is great but then i just want to cry when i play it.
Thats exactly why I created this channel, I bought all the "Great" and was left perplexed.
Playing again now 1.0 is out, really, really enjoying it!
Sounds like a Bradford simulator. No scratch that it's an Islam simulator.
finally a great game that my pc meets the req specs for and that dont cost +60$ with +10 dlc ready to milk you dry from the start.
just to bad one of my fav games just got a dlc and ill be clued to that game for atleast +1 month nerding out.
I was hoping Mack would cover this. Most of the changes are great! Tho they removed or chyanged a lot of Advanced Settings with no logical explanation as to why...
I played solo a year back, killed a few bosses but the game got so hard it was unplayable. You need friends for this!
Nah, It's easily doable solo. Just don't expect to down boss after boss without doing all the ground work and prep before each one.
No comments yet? Mack! DING!!! DING DING DING DINGINDGINGDIN1!
Been out with the dog :)
is the movement with wasd or mouse click
Wasd and aim with mouse
@@llebnevets21 nice
The bigest problem i have is progression , essentialy everything is tied to killing boses (they are the ones giving you better gear and stuff ) but Im at the place where i cant craft any better weapons or armor anymore and the boss is too strong , so here I am cant get stronger because the guy i need to kill is too strong, But its a pretty good game overall
I LOVE how Biden has become the butt of jokes from ALL OVER the globe 😂FJB :)
Lmao old people can't see lmfao 🤣
I hope you have an underground bunker with lots of food and supplies, you are going to need it when Russia nukes the US, making them appear as the nation that once again saved the world from Fascism.
The united states period is a joke.
