Really appreciate your video. I have a 2012 Z4 35is with MHD and a few mods. XHP is my next step. You mentioned transmission life being shortened. Is that with regular driving? Or just due to running at higher line pressure?
Thanks for the feedback! The transmission life would only be shortened depending how often you are launching the car, you will be fine with regular driving and anti-lag
Higher line pressure we're not shorten the life of the transmission. the only thing it does is prevents it from slipping during shifts which will lengthen the life of the transmission under the greater power load.
Things that effect reliability of a automatic transmission. HEAT/OVERHEATING, fluid level, and slipping.
Xhp tune is good and make a difference when your tuned on e85
Ill be doing E85 once I buy the Nexsys Port Injection kit.

I appreciate the positive feedback! Also yes, I would definitely do both MHD and XHP, it turns the car into an entire different beast. You will never get bored of driving your car haha. Just make sure your maintenance is up to date and you have done the DTC transmission oil change. I will be doing a video on that here soon.
You can leave the adapter plugged in? I thought it would drain the battery? Or did you plug it in before you started recording to get ready
Yes the newest one shuts off when you lock the car

Not yet but planning to. You definitely need the transmission tune though. I wouldn’t skip out on it, it makes a huge difference.
Do you need a transmission tune with the manual trans? I have a 35i w/ manual

No sir, you don’t need to worry about a tune or fluid issues. I would just worry about the clutch.

How do you cycle the ignition
When you first get in the car, put the key in, press the start button twice, wait a couple seconds then press the start button again.
The car will then be completely off, then start the process again.
Will the MHD tune work on 2016 z4?
Yes as long as it has the N54 engine.
Would the MHD tuning work on a BMW Z4 2005 2.5 L??
No sir, this is only for BMW’s with the N54 or N55 engine
