I’m so disappointed with the Netflix series that did not cover anything on the victims and the perpetrators background and motives. Don’t watch the Netflix one it’s a waste of time, watch this instead.

It is worthy to watch, but I agree why were these monsters made to be monsters to their own children? How disgusting I don’t think they should not have made this documentary.

Netflix series: why that one lawyer was always so mad when he would talk like he was the one falsely accused? He’s more upset at the kids saying a lot of stuff versus the actual crime. The series made me mad and I’m not even finished watching it.

Yessss I'm on episode 2 and that one Lawyer makes me so mad. He talks so condescending on the children's testimony almost as if their word wasn't important. 🙄

If you understand French please go watch "Les fantômes d'Outreau", it's accessible for free on TH-cam. You'll soon realise that none of Myriam's (and sadly the children's) accusations made any sense at all. I feel for the kids, I really do. But this was a massive fuck up from the judge who took everything she said for granted. Please watch it, listen to the people who were wrongly accused and whose life was forever destroyed - one of them committed suicide in prison. It's hear breaking. A year before the case Myriam had already wrongly accused of rape another neighbor. She's a mental case and her poor kids were totally broken, too. There was no body found, no sex shop, no farm, nothing. She even accused elderly and special needs/disabled, the judge never checked whether there was any trace of the crazy amount of money she claimed to have received as a pimp, never held bilateral confrontations (she was always accompanied by the couple who was found guilty and later acknowledged that it was all a lie). There was a second case a couple of years ago where Daniel Legrand was judged for the rape he had allegedly committed as a minor. Guess what happened then? Nothing. All the adults who were found guilty, Myriam included, reiterated the exact same statements: everything was made up, they had never met Daniel Legrand before. Even the kids acknowledged that, I quote: "maybe they got confused between their nightmares and reality". All these conspiracy theories are nonsensical. Pple keep on insulting actual victims of a fucked up case of being pedos, it's sickening. There are many blatant lies in the documentary "Outreau, l'autre vérité". Many. I won't elaborate but one simple example of how manipulative the director is: he pretends that some of the people who were found non-guilty had accused others. This is factually wrong. Guaranteed - I did a lot of research. The only adults who accused other adults were Myriam, the couple who was found guilty and Daniel Legrand, who lied because he thought he would be released, just as Aurelie grenon was. Outside of them no one accused anyone else. The whole documentary is like that - either lies or distorted facts to tip the scale towards Myriam's version. Anyway. Do watch Les fantômes d'Outreau and you'll see for yourself. Again, I feel for the kids, they were victims, but many - if not all - pole who were wrongly accused had their life taken away. I mean, look at the taxi driver, listen to the baker, to D Legrand's father... Their testimony speaks for itself.

I thought I was the only one confused with the Netflix's documental. Like why is the only judge that tried to put those monsters in jail is portrayed as the villian? How can lawyers speak so proudly about their job on this case? Knowing they just set free a monster.

Just watched the Netflix documentary and my gut tells me we're not being told the whole story.
I think it may have involved people higher up and the whole case got distorted.
Things just don't add up to me.
The magistrate who took all the flack looked like he wanted to say more but maybe scared of repercussions?
I always view documentaries like that on Netflix cautiously.. because there's so much 'woke' material on there. Just look up the many that own it..Blackrock & Vanguard to name two.
    Say no more!

Thanks a lot! Victims deserves a voice.

I’m in the middle of the last episode of the Netflix documentary and finally just said I need to see if anyone covered this because the whole time I felt sooo confused. That many victims and their ALL lying?? Your joking right? Where is the physical evidence surely there were examination beyond the word testimonies? They don’t even touch it and they portray Marecaux as innocent when one of his kids spoke about being his victim and he BARELY gets any time? The wife I’m so confused why doesn’t she say anything about that or does she not believe her own child or simply chooses her husband over her child? The poor magistrate too being framed the villain. Anyone, ANYONE would be overwhelmed with this case from how many testimonies he is having to vet out and pursue? Some of these kids have no doubt not had any contact with each other but their all lying? The expert, the psychologists findings are just not true? She was tricked by ALL of these children even though she is the expert? I’m not one to just blindly believe people without evidence. But there is such a lack of presentation of evidence? They do not touch on the physical examinations which would have or should have happened? And they never go into some of the other accusations or brush over the other victims very very quickly? It’s telling when you want to skip over the rest of the evidence. It definitely leaves me so many questions. When I finish the episode I will be watching this. I’m horrified by how the documentary is sooooo focused on the defense being innocent without taking into account the stacks of evidence that was apparently collected and just not touched on in the documentary. I’m sure at this point it’s because it would poke holes in the defenses narrative. One of my biggest gripes is they accuse the magistrate of blindly believing the Mom of the three sons, but then blindly believe her themselves when she starts supporting their narrative? Did that not strike anyone else as odd? Again it left me and is causing me so much confusion. I can’t wait to watch this where it seems by other comments I’ll get some better clarification on stuff. Thank you for covering this!

Your reporting on French cases is very much appreciated. I had never heard of this. The true crime genre on TH-cam is usually the same retelling of the same American or British crimes for the millionth time. I’ve been binging your videos all day, can’t wait for part two/the finale of this story. I hope all the children involved were able to get counseling and treatment for what has to be serious PTSD. As far as Miriam and thierry are concerned, they won’t get the punishment they deserve until they reach the darkest pits of hell. How can a so-called “mother” stand by and watch her babies get abused like that?! If the death penalty isn’t an option, we need to bring back medieval torture devices for evil SOB’s like thierry!

I don’t know how anyone can move on if they’re the victims of such crimes. Too many end up self medicating just to forget about it for a few hours or sadly worse. The damage is lifelong and thus, those convicted of such crimes should never see the outside of a prison again. They cannot be rehabilitated.

There’s so much more behind this Netflix series.
The documentary seemed rushed and did little to slant it in favor of the accused adults.
My gut feeling is that there’s more powerful people above that ring, who threatened the mother of the children and the mother witness to recant their accusations, or something worse would happen to them and/or families.
Very unsettling and disturbing series, especially at the end, when the lawyers spoke in such infantile terms, and the “ victims “ were celebrating their “freedom.”

Sex is merely for reproduction not for fun and if fun is required, then it should be with someone mature and aware as you are and with their consent .. That's y rape is a crime. So now kids being involved and forced with no mental awareness or consent is very disgusting and if someone doing it with their own kids then they r truely worst than Satan.
