If you're wondering why the music for "Pirates of the Caribbean - The Curse of the Black Pearl" is not officially from Hans Zimmer, here's an explanation: "Originally, it was Alan Silvestri who was assigned to write the score. In the end, he scored the whole film, but the producers and Jerry Bruckheimer didn't like the "feel" of the score. So they hired Hans Zimmer's Remote Control Productions to take over and rewrite the entire score in just one month. At this time, Hans was working on "The Last Samurai", so legally, he couldn't place his name on the Pirate score. He let one of his students, Klaus, take over. Hans worked "behind-the-scenes" with Klaus, making cues and themes with him. There also were several other composers like Geoff Zanelli and Blake Neely involved who helped them out, and together they spit out a brand new score for the film before the dead line."
UPDATE - Here is my final cover of this arrangement!: th-cam.com/video/hYXaRuggmio/w-d-xo.html _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I'm learning this rendition now. About 2 weeks in and 40% through with both hands at a moderate speed. For anyone thinking of committing to learning this, here are some tips: 1) Patience! This isn't a song that can be mastered in a week. 2) Piecemeal learning. For songs this complex and intricate, it's not very effective to learn as one continuous piece from start to finish. It prevents effective retention of the technicalities of each portion. With a million things going in the span of just a few bars, learning things bit by bit is a lot more manageable and effective than trying to learn the entire song straight through which will prove to be very overwhelming. 3) This song is physically demanding - Start slow! Hand fatigue is a real thing when smashing so many keys! Once you become comfortable with the actual notes, chords and melody, your hands will build up the muscle memory and fatigue won't be as prominent. 4) Short learning bits. My training sessions are about 45-60 minutes when I'm trying to lock in a few bars at a time. And then from time to time I sit and run through the whole thing for 5-10 minutes. Too much time may cause diminishing returns in progress. 5) Strategic learning. Find ways to break down what naturally appears to be super complicated into things that make technical sense. Those runs look INSANE, but if you really understand your chords, they're actually quite simple. For example, the reverse arpeggio at the beginning of the chorus is just a descending 2 octave D minor triad. When you are able to identify these technical cues, it makes learning a lot more easy especially when paired with #2 and #4 above! Good luck! :)
Yup you got it, that's the way. Do you have much experience on piano? I only ask because im thinking that if you don't then it may not be so difficult to deal with the hand-soreness and fatigue for someone who's been at it a while.

*Edit:* for everyone saying it’s not hard, I’m not a professional okay, this looks hella difficult.
It's not that hard of a song if you aren't a beginner. There are way harder songs (ex. La Campanella)
@VulpineKitsune well I’m a beginner, and this looked epic.
I'm playing since 9 years now, and it looks so hard ooof
0:55 Bro, I loved how you made that section so lyrical as it contrasts well with piratey, adventurous theme of the music. You mind if i use this in my arrangement?
I can play the first minute and boy can I tell ya this is a hard one to get down well. Amazing job man with those chord structures.
